if you are castrated does it stop your chances of testicular and prostate cancer if so that is a huge plus to get it done. in a few hours we are going to begin my castration im excited and a bit nervous going to be a real good time indeed. but my question today is once this is complete are these male cancer types going to be null and void (lol) for me.

or is it possible to still get these things? i know osteoporosis is a very important concern and i will take the proper supplements to keep everything nice and strong. but besides that are the male cancer gone?

Well obviously if the testicles are removed there is a very high probability that you will never experience testicular cancer. Prostate cancer is another thing since the prostate is still intact and in place. There has been no established link that I know of that testosterone causes prostate cancer but testosterone does cause some tumors to grow more rapidly.

I suspect that no studies have been done on prostate cancer in men who were castrated prior to developing PC. There are just not many available subjects to study.

I was part of a long-term study on prostate cancer with a couple of organic supplements- vitamin E and selenium. They didn't kick me out after I was castrated and everyone I was involved with was very curious about the new me. It turned out that neither of these things decreased the chance of developing PC. The study has slowed down to a yearly questionnaire now.

Prostate cancer is still a remote possibility, although much less likely.

after castration my prostate shrank to the size of a marble the doctors informed me

it stayed small and never grew over the years like prostates do in older men

my prostate test has stayed around .05

1) Your odds of testicular cancer: Nil.

2) Your odds of prostate cancer: If you don't take testosterone, likely very low. If you do, back to normal levels is the most likely outcome.

3) SUPPLEMENTS ALONE WILL NOT STOP OSTEOPOROSIS. Just like in women, calcium/D/magnesium/whatever intake alone will not fully prevent bone loss.
