This doesn't bode well. While I don't take Fosamax, the medication I do take (Didrocal) is in the same general class.

And in my brief look, I found that Didrocal has some problems as well, but I suppose they all do.

I guess, until a real cure comes along, it's better to prevent & take care of yourself than to have to repair the damage afterwards.

Yet another new wonder drug that you see hyped on TV, and then at the end of the commercial you get the announcer running through a list of side effects and "do not take this drug if ....." so fast that you can hardly understand him. If you pay close attention, you'll find that most of the drugs coming out nowadays carry so many warnings and side effects that it's probably best to just avoid any of them.

Re new drugs: Doctors say that it is best to wait 5 years before prescribing a new drug for a patient, 10 years for a relative. As for me, I'm nobody's lab rat.
