urinary symptoms???
Hi all. Just wondering if any of you have problems with frequent urination. Im only 30 years old and cannot make it through the night without using the bathroom 2 or 3 times. I am diabetic but it seems to be well controlled, and I do take a lot of pills ( for diabetis, bi polar and spiro) which can be bladder irritants iv heard. Sometimes I feel like I have to go when there is. Only a small amount of urine in my bladder. Does anyone here have similar symptoms? I have seen a urologist and he seems to think things are ok but this puts a damper on many activities in my life. Yesterday was particularly bad. At the dentists office, I had to go 5 times. Had to have him stop working on me twice so I could go. My urologist has done tests, like kidney function, ultrasounds and even shoving a camera up there (very unpleasant ) and he thinks everything ios fine but its not fine to me. Any advice members could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the club
I think that at 30 you should not be having these
problems, but I had them at that age and it has gotten steadily worse with age ( now 67 ) my urologist has examined my bladder and found nothing wrong. He blames it on a week blames and has tried numerous meds that dont work. I too get up every 2 hours at night. I( feel the uncontrollable urge when shopping or driving for more than 45 minutes. sometimes stopping in a parking lot for instant relief.
My only recommendation is stick with the urologist and have him try meds. If one does't work try another
BEST LUCK

Spiro is a diuretic, it will make you go more often, but i dont think that alone explains the severity of your problem...
Wish i knew more....
G'luck!

I've used most all of the bipolar drugs. I've experienced no excess urination problems with any of them. The only problem is with weight gain and some extra sedation.
I understand that Spiro will cause an increase in urination, though I can't say how much.
Excess blood sugar will be a cause of more frequent urination; your body's effort to clear BS. Has your urologist ordered an A1C or done a fasting glucose test?

Then most likely it is your natural need. There are some medicines that will retard the need for urination, but frankly, they aren't very effective. You may just have to live with it.

You may have an inflamed prostate. That's young but you still should get a doc to check. Who knows you may enjoy it.

Re: urinary symptoms???
Diabetes is about peeing.
There is mellitus and insipidus.
Doc use to tell the difference by taste. <yum>
Most important is that you do not sacrifice hydration for convenience.
Keep drinking that water and pee as clear as you can.

moi,
They could be describing bladder spasms. Best to see a G.P. and ask. It is treatable with medication. They may write you a script just to see if it helps...
