Bare to Breakers Nude Race

I am a nullo and I am thinking about participating in the annual Bare to Breakers nude race in San Francisco. This is part of the famous Bay to Breakers race, which is has been held each May for over a hundred years. I was wondering if any nullos or eunuchs had done this event? If yes, I am curious, how did it go? Any problems? Are there are groups of nullos or eunuchs who participate each year? Would you like company?

I had hoped to do it this May, but right now it absolutely looks like that I cannot get away for the weekend of the race, May 15. Therefore, I am already making plans for May 2012. Actually, I can use the extra year to continue to get in shape. I weighed 190 lbs when I was castrated in 2001. My weight slowly increased to 230 lbs by 2007. I lost 10 lbs in 2008, which I am pround to say that I have kept off, even after my total penectomy in 2009. I started a major exercise regimen last December and I have lost 5 lbs so far. It amazed me to discover how out of shape I was (and still am). So I can really use a year to lose more weight and to work up to easily doing a 7.5 mile walk.

I am quite proud of being a nullo and will have no problems being nude in front of over 100,000 spectators.

I've been a flat-bagger (2 jewelry rings in the empty sac) for about 10 years now. I ran bare in the Bay-to-Breakers in 2005. No problems! Even better! Because I'm somewhat competitive and unlike a lot o' the naked folks who treat the run totally as a social event, I ran fairly aggressively and was the first of the nude runners most of the viewers saw. The shouts, etc. from the reported ~80,000 viewers was almost deafening - definitely supportive. I finished the 12.4 km in just shy of an hour. I don't know for certain, but I might be the only eunuch to have ever run the event nude.

If you're running in 2012, I would definitely consider running with you. I know there's a nullo - totally smooth - that participates in the WNBR (World Naked Bike Ride) in London nude. He says he suffers a bit from a lot o' negative comments. I've also heard no critical comments from my participation in the WNBR, which I've now done in 3 different locations (Portland, Vancouver & Victoria).

I'm happy for you. Can I ask how you got your penectomy? What kind of procedure did you have to go through to get it? Thank you.

Thanks for this Bill...It got me to thinking if I have the chutzpa to do something like this..I have two large piercings in my frenum that would make me stand out in a nude situation, but nothing like the difference you show from the average guy. None the less, I'd like to do something like this..It would be freeing...But, alas, my physical condition would prohibit it..My sciatic nerve has wreaked havoc on my left leg, and I haven't addressed the issue with a doctor as yet...Good luck..I'd love to at least witness this event...dragonfly

Thank you, Jeff. A most interesting invitation. I had not thought about "running" the race. I had only thought about walking. To run will take more prep on my part. The question is, can I lose enough weight? Well, I have 14 months.

Yes, I expect some negative comments from the spectators. Most of my friends expect a million pictures to be taken of me.

It would be truly an honour to accompany you in the Bare-to-Breakers contingent in the larger Bay-to-Breakers run. I've been a fan ever since your post of 14 months ago with respect to your first 100 days without a penis - as a nullo - and how pleasureable and sensual it was to no longer have external genitalia. I appreciated your series of posts on this subject in part because I long ago concluded that a guy w/o external genitalia could remain fully sexual as a result of the internal genitalia and ingestion of hormones. It was just good to have my thoughts on the subject confirmed. I also noted that we were similar in age and had each been castrated at about the same time.

I guess I could even slow down a bit. My only excuse for running the race rather than walking is that I've always enjoyed running. I can add that one of the motivations for having myself castrated was that cramping from my testicles retracting deep into my inguinal canals during competitive runs was becoming too common. After one such event brought my run to an abrupt end, I resolved it would never happen again, and I'd finally realize a long-held desire to be castrated. My procedure was a few months later.

Anyway, I'd luv to do the event with you. Keep me in mind as May 2012 approaches.
