This is a good story. I really like the way Josh captured the Victorian language and beliefs.

I hope Josh writes a sequel in which he answers these questions:

How much of a stump was he left with?

How did he urinate after his operation?

What happened when he got stains on his sheets after the operation from wet dreams?

Did any of his friends learn of his penectomy or see his stump or lack thereof? If they did, how did they react?

Did he ever have to be nude in front of a group of other guys? If so, how did they react?

Did he ever see any other boys who had their penises removed?

Did he ever get married?

I also hope Josh will continue these stories:

White Van Cometh

True Lies

Danger Will Robinson!!!

Some more questions:

Did either (or both) of James' brothers have the same operation?

Did any of James' friends, classmates, or relatives have the same operation because their parents were impressed by how well it worked on James?

Hi CG

Thanks for the kind words. I always enjoy reader feedback and I always hope for more. The inspiration for the story was actually the book "My Lobotomy by Howard Dully". This was a true story and simply unbelievable in it horror. As recently as 50 years ago in California normal boys as young as 11 and 12 were being lobotomized with the full consent of their parents. Needless to say not all of them lived and virtually all that did suffered cognitive loss. How could the boys parents and the medical establishment have done this? By comparison my story seems down right tame. Believe it or not there were things worse than castration done to preteen boys and it happened not very long ago.

Josh

P.S. Don't worry, I'm going to finish the other stories.:)

Very cool to see you posting, Josh! Thanks :)

Definitely look forward to more of this one and your others. You have a flavour, a style, that I always find enjoyable... also, your tendency to leave a chapter on a cliffhanger equally delights and frustrates me (fruststrate in a good, I-can't-wait-for-more kinda way)!

Thanks for all you write. I'm really glad I get to say it 'to your face', so to speak.

Here's to more in the (near?!) future!
