Some Aspects of Writing Fiction

Post by Kortpeel (imported) »

My thanks to SquirmEworm for the Kortpeel publicity he's generated on this section of the board in the last couple of weeks.

The very worst thing for any writer is to get absolutely no reaction at all. Did any one read it? What was wrong with it?

Being criticised is fine. Personally I don't even mind being flamed: at least someone read the story and took the trouble to respond to it.

I warn anyone who posts a story on the web to expect some flaming. The Eunuch Archive is a particularly polite and courteous forum. By contrast, feedback responses from stories posted on Literotica felt like they would set fire to the computer screen: uninhibited scathing abuse, masterly insults and invitations to remove oneself from the gene pool, with offers of help from the sender if I don't do it myself.

Not all of such feed back is well reasoned, or even well written but at least some of my stories have assisted others into that happy and pleasant state of self righteous indignation. And for sure, we are all entitled to our own opinion, no matter how stupid it may be.

The lesson is that you can't please all of the people all of the time. Some will like a story, others will loathe it. All a writer can do is be true to himself, give it his best shot and hope at least a few people like it.

My opinion is that erotica (or porn if you will) is a valid genre and castration erotica is a valid sub-genre of it. If it's what gets you off then good luck to you. However it is also valid to incorporate castration into fantasy or sci fi stories which explore other themes. I personally find it intriguing to create a society where castration is an unremarkable norm and guys just go along with it. It might even happen one day.

Meantime the rule for stories here is that someone has to get nutted.

Anyway, my thanks again to Squirmy (Gee what a dreadful avatar he has) and also to anyone who has taken the time to read one of my stories.

Your posts tend to be insulting, that is why they were deleted. Continue the practice and you will be as well. And yes, we are as you put it Admin Gods and you have our attention which is usually not a good thing. I will be watching your every post.

Bye, bye, now.

Have a nice trip.

Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
