It is nice to read an author who has engaged the thought process while behind the keyboard. And Kortpeel is one of them! With the recent commentary on a few of his more recent writings, I was inspired to investigate some of his older stories via former recommendations.
Regeneration (http://www.eunuch.org/Alpha/R/ea_73155regenera.htm) is based on the rather commonly used {some might say overused} theme of eugenics and over-population. The refreshing difference here is that theme is used as a reason rather than an excuse for a story. And the life events of his characters are interesting inter-meshed into it. Well worth cracking a few nuts over!
Missing some clarity, Evening Dearie (http://www.eunuch.org/Alpha/X/ea_1130_evenin_.htm) is a classic beauty because of its brevity. If you want to write a short story, this is how its done!
Good stuff Kortpeel!!
