1 month check up. Androcur working great.

Just had my 1 month check up with my doc since starting Androcur. He said my liver function, and all other blood work looks great.

My T levels have dropped from 710 in November to 66 now!! (normal range 200-800 per doc) I am very happy with the results so far. Spontaneous erections all but gone, libido almost in check, wife is very happy with the changes so far also. So far so good, I believe this course of treatment may just save my marriage. Now if i can just make the changes permanent, don't want to be on meds my whole life.

First, CONGRATULATIONS!! Second, what daily dosage of Androcur are you taking to get that LOW a T level? I frankly find your 66 (a castrate level) quite amazing.

I followed the dosing levels prescribed here on the message board. 100mg per day for 20 days then down to 50mg per day for the last 10 days. I too was amazed at the low level of T I had achieved already. I was hoping for less than 200 and when the docs nurse told me the results I was very surprised. Speaking of the nurse, she called me with the blood work results and said she would need to talk to the doc about my low T levels and I advised her that was not necessary because that was my goal. I think she was a bit taken back at first but she just acted like I must know what I am doing. I believe I am the first patient my doc has ever tried treating with Androcur. Thanks for the support, here's to a long T free life.

After three-months on 50mg of Siterone, my level was 72 but I was almost having to drag myself out of bed in the morning. I had developed significant case of anemia. For me, the other results were pretty much as you described.

This is just an opinion, and obviously each person will have a different experience. I tend to suspect (because it happened to me) that a sudden decline in T level is what contributes to what I call "Testosterone Withdrawal Syndrome" and all that goes with it.

As we age, we slowly decline in T, and don't get that much of a reaction.

But use chemicals to kill your T in a short period of time and whamo. There are a lot of interactions between hormones in the body and they get all whacked out. One disruption leads to another.

Thus I tend to suspect that a chemical induced T reduction that is gradual, say 6 months or more) may have less impact on the mind and body.

I did the 50mg 2 times a day routine and had classic T withdrawal symptoms. Now that the T has been down for awhile, I seem to have adjusted to a new normal, without the yucky feelings I had then the T first dropped.

Thanks for sharing with us and please keep posting. I don't know much about the 'T' ratings/figures, but even I can understand that 710 to 66 is a dramatic change. Hope you don't suffer too much though from any side effects; especially tiredness.

CONGRATULATIONS on taking control of your testosterone, quite effectively I might add. Thank you for answering my question. I think your response is good news for many, just to know that it's possible. Of course, everyone's individual body physiology and metabolism is different, and not everyone will necessarily respond as dramatically. YMMV.

As far as T withdrawal symptoms, none so far. I am a very active cyclist and kayaker. I try to get in a good workout 3-5 times per week. I have had no problems with lethargy or lack of energy. I am 44 yrs old and I have been very fit for the last 11 yrs. I believe that may be helping me now.

I am a little worried that my T levels dropped so fast but I am following my docs advice and am listening to my body very closely. If anything seems out of whack, I will get it checked out ASAP. Per my Doc, I am having blood work done again in April and again in September just to make sure we stay informed about any changes that may be happening that I can't feel.

My wife and I had been discussing me lowering my T levels to try and even the playing field in bed for several months before I was able to find a Doc to work with me. I am very happy how quickly my body has reacted to the Meds. Our sex life has never been better and we are just getting started. We have even met with a Sexual Therapist (PhD.) and discussed my plans with her. She seemed a bit unsure at first but upon talking with her a second time after being on Androcur for 3 weeks and hearing about the changes to my Libido she was very supportive of my decision.

Congratulations to you and your wife, finding the right way to fulfill your desires are always nice to hear, especcially when there are no side effects.
