What do the symbols under the avitar mean?

How can I get them?

The block where I type messages has no emoticons on the right where they used to be.

I notice that the moderators have all sorts of things they add, like dancing bells and candles on some ones birthday. Can I tap into some of them?

The only emoticon I know how to post is dong or I think of as a dick wave

When you are making a post look to the right and click on MORE. You will see all of the other ICONS. Expand the window and you will be able to see them all. Just scroll down the page to find the one you want. No secret.

There is nothing on the right side of the message box.

There used to be before the site went down

I do have the icons under the message box.

The green boxes and gold stars are reputation points.

You get them when someone approves of your post by clicking the little scales icon.

Let me be the first to add to your reputation.

You have to change your edit settings.

On the main blue bar you will see a User CP on the far left side of the page

Click on that.

On the left column select Settings and Options then edit options

On the bottom of that page in the Miscellaneous Options

change the Message Editor Interface to Enhanced interface

Click on the save changes box on the bottom.

This will show the other icons when you have a posting to write.
