. Invitations are sent to those who can provide proof they were born female.
Pray tell, what sort of "proof" do you require.....
I will point out a few facts for you!!
Chromosome tests are not infallible, as 1 in 20,000 people are born "Chromosome reversed", these people are 'normal' fertile members of their apparent sex. So insisting on a Chromosome test may deny some people who were born with vagina's their right to respond.
About 1 in 10,000 births have the person born with male chromosomes but with a condition known as Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. The people who are born with complete AIS are born appearing to be female, they are usually raised female.... their condition is usually discovered only when they fail to menstruate, and medical investigations are undertaken to find out why.
About 1 in 20,000 people are born Transsexual, with their brain sex opposite to their physical sex. After aligning the physical sex with their brain sex these people are medically seen as being a member of that sex..... Thats what my letter of reassignment says anyway!
I will quote from it.......<quote>"This is to certify that pippa Reeves has been a patient under my care at Masada Hospital.
Pippa was born a biological male but has the condition of transsexualism. After a prolonged period of medical assessment by the Gender Reassignment Unit at Monash Medical Centre a sex change operation was performed on her on the 17th August 2001. During this operation the male organs were removed and organs resembling those of a female were created.
Pippa Reeves should now be regarded as a female."<end quote>
So while this letter certainly does not prove I was BORN female, it does say I should br regarded as being a female.
Of these people (Transsexuals) depending on where the person was born, a revised Birth Certificate may be issued. In some places this is done in a way that makes it appear that the person was BORN a member of that sex!
Has your hompophobic little bubble burst yet?
Yes I say homophobic, because someone that cannot accept someone like me as being female, is obviously afraid of somehow being 'tricked' into having sex with, or even feeling an attraction for, someone who was born the same physical sex as yourself.
I have to agree with the views expressed by Ian, River, and sylviacirc. Posts like yours ARE insulting to Transsexual people, as you attempt to deny who we really ARE.
nuff said.
