Getting banded this Friday

Well, I'm taking the plunge. I'm getting banded. I'm ONLY doing things this way as I cannot afford surgical castration or other means. I am aware of the dangers - and the pain - involved and believe me, I'm somewhat nervous. However, this is the way to go for me.
I'm therefore asking for advice - providing I'm not breaking forum rules here - on how to go about with the removal... I've been reading up on things, but think it's best I ask here for experienced views.
How soon after banding occurs is it safe to remove?
Should one simply use a sharp knife - sterilised, of course.
Any advice would be appreciated - however, be aware that I'm intent on doign this, so if your going to just say 'Don't!', well, thank you, I also appreciate that point, but Im set on this path.

why do you want to band them
there are so many better ways to do this
those little orange or green bands are worthless
so i would not try them except for play..then they are excellent
i have seen a tribander at work..it does a very good job..is easy to work with
like i said ..banding is a very messy way to do that
why the need to cut it off after banding...i thought that was the point to wait till they fall off on their own
i see you are ts in your profile???

Can you share your motivation to band and be castrated? When you are considering castration a trial with chemical castration is the best advice. Keep in mind that banding is for animals. I guess my best advice is to have transportation to a hospital or 911 on speed dial.

Truly of all the ways to be castrated I do believe this is the most dangerous. Also if by your profile you say your TS then you will need the sac for later, if you ban them you will loose the sac as well.
Stay close to the ER, have 911 or the UK equivalent on your speed dial.
Remember Gang green can kill you and by banding you are inviting that.
I think you should re-think this out, I know the need to be castrated, we all know that feeling but do it the right way, a safe way, banding is life threatening.

Are you sure this is the way to go?
First, it's going to hurt like hell and possibly be unbearable for anywhere from 6 hours to a day. I mean excruciating pain like multiple kicks in the balls over and over.
Second: you won't be able to stop the pain with alcohol or drugs because you are involving deep nerves and not surface nerves. You might over-alcohol or overdose on drugs if you try.
Third: If you make it past that and the scrotum and testicles are finally dead. They are toxic -- think gangrene and rotting meat dead. You can't just cut the scrotum away because if the rings slip off, you'll bleed to death. Your dead balls are holding the rings on and keep you from bleeding. That's what they don't tell you about animal castrations -- horses and cattle walk around for days and weeks with rotting fleshing hanging... How to win friends and influence people - smell like rotting flesh.
Fourth: you go to the hospital with some contrived story to cover up your deed and lie about your dead testicles... And the doctors put you in a psychiatric ward for evaluation. That's three days to a week, possibly more.
Fifth: the emergency room bill shows up in your mailbox and the hospital will collect it. Oh yes, it will be a huge amount and they will take the money from you any way they can...
And that's the happy future (I hope you recognized the sarcasm in that past sentence)...
You might do better with alcohol injections. It will take a few months, maybe the better part of a year, but the results will be so much easier and less hazardous. Seriously consider the alcohol injections over banding.
I came back to add this a few minutes after I posted:
-- if you do find a doctor willing to treat you with hormones after you do this by banding, that doctor will always be wary of you because you (by your actions and deeds) showed that you will do things to hurt your body and not listen to his advice. So if he tells you that certain hormones (brands or types or combinations) are not good for you, he will have no trust that you will not do those hormones behind his back, after all, you destroyed your own testicles on your own and not under medical advice. How do you expect a doctor to trust you afterward?
This goes for all of us. Doctors treat us on trust that we follow their advice or at least listen to their advice. When you come to them with a history of actions harmful to your body and then say "trust me" ... it rings false. Find a sympathetic doctor and start addressing and documenting your desires to change your sex. Build some trust and good will there.

Thank you for the replies. The reason that I am doing it this way is that I simpley do not have the money to do it any other way. Believe me, I wish I did so that I could get this done surgically.
I believe ganrene only sets in if you keep the bands on too long. Im looking at a period of 12 hours to do this.

Not only will the testicles be dead, the sack will be dead also. Think about that. You and I are not doctors or surgeons and aren't capable of cutting the dead sack off.

I don't know what to say. The very idea of you doing this worries me. I realize that it has been done successfully on ocasion but most often it turns into a disaster for the poor soul who makes the attempt. I agree that cost is an almost insurmountable barrier for most of us who are despairing of ever being testicle free. There are other ways I feel more confident of, although none are hazzard free. If you do such a thing by all means do not do it alone, have a most trusted friend who will get you medical help when you need it, even when you do not ask for help (even when you say not to call for help). Be very sure of your path before you start this or any other do-it-yourself genital alteration. The biggest mistakes are made when we get to feeling hopeless and desperate to change our situation. Whatever happens I wish you good luck. --FLO--
