Frankly it is a little too extreme to my liking, but still I read it to the end. You managed to capture the feeling of absolute terror in the victim, the emotion of ultimate revenge from the perpetrator. I came away thoughts of "that'll teach ya."

Nathan,
Whenever your name appears on a story it is a guarantee that it will be a clever, well told, tale. I find it amazing how you manage to keep on finding new subjects or twists and yet retain the quality. 'Fishing for Jacks' was well up to your standard - which is never less than superb, but I am afraid that, like Charlieje, it is not really for me.
LOL

Ok, Nathan, ya got me big time!
I just read part 2, and as usual your attention to detail, your handling of the plot was gripping. A much better ending I must say. But as you yourself said, Payback is hell! I'm gonna have to get you back somehow.

Nathan - I too thought the ending of part 1 was too extreme - after all what is the point of castrating someone and then killing them. They don't get the chance to 'experience' the effects of castration.
But part 2 gave the story a great twist.

Hmm,
In the days, long ago, when I used to book sport fishing trips out of the Bahamas, I don't ever recall the fishermen using bait such as that. But then I never actually went on the boats.
Bit too strong for my taste, but you have to say - one hell of a story!
LOL

When I was a teenaged lad we used to go "skinny-dipping" in the "strip pits"
(these were open pits that were the remnants of strip-mining. The 200-300 feet of earth was removed from over the coal, the coal was removed and then the pumps that kept the water out of the pits were removed and they were allowed to fill with water. The water was clear, cool and you could almost see to the bottom)
We would ride our bicycles out to the pits and run naked and swim all day in the secluded areas.
Anyways, I never did fish for jacks, but occasionally I did "jack for the fish"

Thanks for all the inputs. I'm proud of the "Jacks" tale....the intensity of it and the realism of it. Its not for the squeamish, but then again not much about 'nutcuttin' is.
One reader pointed out that there is another story on the archive, called "Our Family Vacation" where another character's balls get used as fishbait! I looked it up and it's a good read. I had nothing to do with it but I do recommend it. Luckily, I didn't see the story first or I would not have written mine.
I really want to thank the many people that wrote to me on Fishing for Jacks, both parts. I apprecaited every note, the ones here and the ones to my email. If you were one of those that sent an attachment it got auto-deleted....sorry, but I don't accept private unsoliciated messages with attachments. Just got burned before and learned from it.
