And another series by this prolific author!
I got to chapter four and decided it was time to rent the movie. Fun to see where your match and where you branch off.
The movie was fun, although unfortunately, I got a dubbed version, and I don't like the dubbing at all; very poorly done, to the point that the acting looks bad because of it. I must re-rent it with sub-titles, instead.
Thanks for this series, Sander, it's a hoot to read!

I am fairly sure that DVDs can have multiple language tracks and multiple subtitle files. They should have authored the DVD is such a way that it could be used as a dubbed movie or a subtitled movie. If the user wanted it dubbed he/she would select English and no subtitles. If the user wanted it with subtitles, he/she would select Swedish and English subtitles.

I rented a dubbed version, which I thought was rather well done. I tried to watch the Swedish version on Netflix, but remembering I had the dubbed version on DVD somewhere I watched it again, and I like it better than the Swedish language version.
In my opinion, except that it has no nullo scene, the American version is much the best. I will definitely get in on DVD when it comes out.
Sander started out seeming to retell the story as the author wrote it, but from Eli's pov. He's definitely deviated from the original in the latter chapters, though. I've read the book, and although the book does talk about sex between adults and kids, includes the killing of kids, and sexual abuse of kids, Sander is a little more explicit in his description of it and includes sex -of sorts - between Eli and Oskar, which doesn't happen in the book.

That last scene in the pool was so well done... had a mini-nightmare / weird-dream about it last night. That movie (the Swedish version) excelled in putting the action juuuuuuuust outside the camera's vision.
