A hello and a couple of questions...

Hi there.

Firstly, hello... I'm a 43 year old TS in the uk. I've been doing some reading up on things and the advice I've been given, as I cannot afford every single hormone out there, lol, is to get castrated. This would enable the hormones I DO have, to work unimpeeded.

So, I appreciate that it's tricky to get done over here therefore my first question has to be - where can I get thsi done/does anyone know of someone who does it?

The second question is about which way is safer and less painfull, lol.. Banding or...?

I do hope I'm not breaking any rules here - And yes, I appreciate that I may be coming over as a little niaeve..

best wishes

sio

First of all - Welcome to the Zoo :)

You say, that you live in UK. As far as I know, medical system there covers hormones if you are diagnosed GID. Or am I wrong?

PS. And better do not try banding - it is dangerous and painful.

Thank you. Ive found someone who wishes to use banding on me, however, everything points to it being a bit nasty, tbh. Alas, I doubt that any doc in the uk will just offer castration after councillng... I'd love to be proved wrong. As for srs, well, again, its all to do with councilling. Its something Im trying to get. However, I want to be castrated so that the hormones I'm on get a far greater chance to work.

Welcome.

Keep in mind that you're not a farm animal.

As a boy, I witnessed banding on small animals, like goats, and despite the stamina of their immune system, there were still infections and casualties.

The EA's policy on castration advice is to seek professional counseling for this, and if not already suffering from low T. levels, to try chemical castration first.

Have a good time here.

Keep in mind that there is going to be pain. It has been done before, but please research, BME had experiences on banding.

If not done correctly you can have life threatening problems.

Might I also suggest working on one's frame of mind?

Physical changes might be desired, but I feel that as this community is about sharing, I have to suggest that physical changes are not what make you who you are.
