Not sure where this should go,

My next door neighbor is not the nicest person in the world, he is a recluse, gone two weeks at a time then home for 2 or 3 days then gone again.

He has this leaf blower that he runs for a couple hours. He started last spring building these rock penises all over his yard. He put straw under his trailer to soak up the moisture. He then mows his lawn both forward and backward, runs the air blower again then gets out his propane weed burner to go around his yard burning those nasty weeds away.

Well it all started last Saturday, he started with his weed blower for over an hour, then moved to the lawnmower and finished up with the weed burner, when he went around the front of his place, (remember those rocks I talked about) well he put these rocks around his whole place and he started to burn them pesky weed off around his house. (remember the straw I told you about) yep you guesses it, he started the straw on fire, under his trailer, straw loves to smoke and smoke before it finally gets going, and when the fire department showed up there was smoke coming from all around the front half of his trailer. Well the fire department did the only thing they could, they ripped off the siding of his trailer, cut his porch off, sections at a time to get under the house to put his floor out.

About 6 weeks ago my front porch finally rotted away and I put a metal step at my back door which is in his yard. He picked it up and throw it in my back yard. The owner of the park had a couple words with him and I put the steps back, I know he hate them, there ugly and in his yard. I like to grow big weeds in my front yard, that little piece of ground between my trailer and the road, I know it pisses him off.

Anyway back to my next door neighbor burning his house down. Needless to say when the fire department finished the place was a big mess with siding, deck, insulation etc all over his beautiful yard and no steps to get on the back part of the deck they did not cut down so he could at least go in his back door.

Remember those ugly metal steps I have, YEP I did the good neighbor thing and my son and I took them over for him, so he could have a way in and out of his place.

He totaled it, complete loss, but before they hall it all away I do want my ugly steps back.

Moral of story:

Never put straw under your house.

Never use a weed burner around your house with straw under it.

Never throw your neighbors steps away, you might need them.

It means that he is too lazy to weed. The weeds look good is the escuse.

Me, I don't dare try to kill all the weeds in my lawn; at about 80% weed, if they all died, I'd have almost no green at all.

Several years ago, this same joker who lives next to me found a bunch of baby Raccoons, the mother had been killed. He out of the goodness of his heart started to feed them.

I had a fit, told him to kill them else they will always think his place is a safe place. He stopped feeding them and the pesky little critters keep coming back year after year for a visit with daddy.

Now to answer your question about my cat. He found some gray hair on the hood of his truck, black with all the frills. About a $50,000 truck, he keeps it in his plastic shed, drives it maybe 50miles a year. (dirt might get on it you know). So he finds this hair and blames my cat, threatened to kill Rupert. He has been known to shoot small animals off his deck. I told him it was not Rupert, cats don't get on the hoods of trucks inside a shed, he would only do that to look around and besides, Paint for Cars and Trucks is made to be cat proof. Well this did not settle well with him and then I pointed out that the corn was high in the field next to our little trailer court and maybe it was his pet Raccoons that decided to climb up on daddy's truck for a nap, after all Daddy loves them. RIGHT?

Now he knows I am right but he is such a red neck he can't tell me that, so I keep Rupert inside the house when he is home, because if he every hurt my cat, his truck would be worth less then his burned out trailer.

Sometimes you must stand back and grin at stupid, shake your head and wonder how this guy made it through life this far and is still alive.

He also removes all the snow from his yard in the winter, last year it froze the sewer pipes from his place and mine but that's another story.

best neighbor in the hood.

Speaking of stupid, two doors over is my landlady and she lives with her boyfriend, he died last Saturday he was 83. anyway when I moved in to my place I put all the boxes and tubs up on one wall, he saw this and came to tell me that I had to move them right now, after all with all they boxes on one side of the trailer, don't you know it could tip the trailer over on its side.

I am not making this stuff up people.

Then I put up a 20' poll for the satellite dish, but that's another story.

I've had various neighbors at various times.

One had dogs so vicious I never went near his house. his wife was scared of the country and used to let the dogs out in a fenced fortress area surrounding the house. She was afraid someone would find out the "dread family secret" that no one cared about. He used to blow out the motor on a lawn tractor every year trying to plow snow out of his gravel driveway.

When they moved, the next gang had to have a horse and down came the guardian fence and up went the barn. That lasted until the husband passed away and the wife found out that horsies need fed and shoveled and groomed and shoveled and cared for and shoveled. When a tree fell on her power and phone lines, she needed a neighbor to phone and manage the electric and phone and cable company to restore service. She thought the electric company took care of everything.

Someday I will be in the mood to talk about the other neighbor who made his living in "salvage" ...
