First I am sorry that happened to you. My question is do you have any lasting issues because of the experience. Who knows maybe your father measured you differently than your uncle and you would have won.

I think that your uncle probably lied just to get your dad to do it. Then, he talked about him or made fun of him behind his back.

Tell me, was your uncle older than your father? If so, maybe your uncle did this to your father so often when they were young that your father thought that it was normal behavior.
