For several days, I have been unable to connect to EA chat, by using either the EA Java applet, or an IRC client and the darkstar1 or otherbackup servers. Is everything down? Any estimate when it will be back up?

Hmmmm.... perhaps I didn't try darkstar1.tzo.com after all. It is working fine now, while I am still unable to connect using the otherbackup server or the applet.

The only server running at this time is Darkstar. It is restricted access. Only OP's have the password. You will get connection errors.

The backup server is off line.

You still have access to chat like before. Use the chat link in message board. That will take you to the same chat room as always.

I can't use the chat through the board link because I'd speculate my one-letter name used in chat is too short.

Seems my only option is to wait until this is fixed.
