Hi all, I'm a cast off from Burdizzo Forum, that sort of disappeared overnight 20th. May without warning ........ just went POOF. However, I've been on Depo Provera (castration drug) since the end of last year, as my urologist, who I finally got to going "through hoops and garters and finally through a hogshead of real fire" (thanks Beatles), would only do an orchidectomy after at least six months trial on castration drugs. I am now continuing past six months as I am not as 'cock' sure as I was. I love the eunuch calm, couldn't give a hoot feeling, BUT, I'm not so sure about the lethargy and the slight weight increase. The latter looks worse than increase would suggest, as I seem to have swapped muscle for fat ....... fat weighs less of course. So my need now is to get myself up and active like I was before ....... tomorrow!

It was very sudden.
Maybe the last "pledge drive" was a warning.

Hi Sweetpickle, I guess Bill was getting tired of the sameness, as he was already an eunuch, the Ho-Hum was probably a factor. I had just sent a birthday greeting to Twinsen (20th May) but I bet he never saw it! A day or two of warning would have been nicer.

Hi Charlie.
Interesting post. I have tried cyproterone acetate (CA) and I was surprised by how lethargic I became after a few days. I was hardly sleeping because my legs felt so hot and prickly. I wasn't sure if the lethargy was because I'd become grossly tired or if it was directly linked to my falling testosterone. Either way, I was bothered enough to quit taking the CA. But I still feel like trying it again in the hope that I'll find a way to get used to it. I hear that the hot flushes and lethargy become less intense. It sounds like you're getting on ok except for the weight gain. Best of luck with that. Whenever I feel myself getting 'clumsy around the middle' I increase the miles I walk. That usually does the trick; but I'm not sure I'll find it so easy to make myself go walking when there's less testosterone about.
All the best
Riven

Hi Riven,
Yes, the lethargy is basically my whole problem, the cause of the weight gain.
I'm now in the strange position that the urologist will castrate me whenever I want, as I'm past the 6 months on D.P. that he insisted on. Now it's me that is the 'chicken'. Must persevere and force myself on. once I can achieve motivating myself, I'll be more likely to go the permanent way. One thing I now agree with the advice DO CHEMICAL TRIAL FIRST. Regards C.
