Dreams.
Generally, I do not remember mine, or if I do - it evaporates quickly.
Don't want to write them down, etc. No thanx.
A few have been vivid, ESP / paranormal experiences.
But, most often they involve
1) frustration, ,most common, such as loosing my car in a big parking lot.
2) threatened and unable to move.
The latter said to be due to the paralyzing effect of dream states so one does not thrash around.
But, last night was a weird one. A lady from grad school days. Never really a friend or girl friend but, occasionally spoke to wall flower Moi.
She was there in an Afghan lady's head dress explaining she had a cancer of the eye that required radical face surgery. I can't figure it out.
Maybe I should try reach her, y'think?

Yes, attempt contact with the person, if for no other reason than to put to rest your concern.
As for your dreams, evaporating memeory, and the aversion to writing them down... I think you should do something, something to help you remember and interpret these dreams. Dreams ARE worth looking at, as they are a direct communication from your own subconscious to the conscious, and even though most adult dreams are seemingly encrypted in bizarre symbols, the message contained in them is usually worth decrypting. If you are too worried about the privacy or safety of a written dream diary, then maybe you should find someway to keep a lockable safe box by your bed.
I believe the messages contained in your dreams ARE ususally worth the trouble of understanding them, even if you have to keep a "dream journal" locked up by your bed.

Be sure and tell her she has or is about to get
eye cancer.
I'm sure she'll appreciate the warning.

For what purpose? Do you want to date her? You will need a better pick up line than "I dreamed about you last night." To find out if your dream was prophetic? It wasn't. Only Freud and Joseph thought dreams had any substance. Joseph was sold into bondage by his pissed off brothers and made a eunuch, and Freud got Woody Allen for a disciple. This is not a good recommendation.
PS What is it like to have a dream? Is it like having a movie play in your head?

Re: Other Then, Erotic Dreams
The only example of another, similar dream,
was a message in the present tense. Sort of.
She was never a "friend", but she was kind to me on several occasions.
Move on to others dreams now ok?

Re: Other Then, Erotic Dreams
I have three types of dreams.
1st are the prophetic dreams that I know what I dreamt is going to happen.
2nd are the why the hell did I dream that nonsense kind of dreams.
3rd are the dreams that I am aware I am dreaming as I observe the dream and these dreams open up a repressed memory of a past event.
You may have had the dream to warn her of the possibility and a prompt to get checked out. There is always the possibility that you received the information after she had. I think when people receive traumatic news they unintentionally send it out to others who are receptive. Either way she may appreciate knowing you were thinking of her.

You could just send her a note and say you were thinking of her recently and ask how she is doing. A good closing would be to wish her good health.

Re: Other Then, Erotic Dreams
My dreams are typically self-contained storyline-type things. Sometimes they're more cartoon or movie-like, sometimes more like mutilations of actual events, but usually just things that range from things I would expect to think about while awake to things I typically wouldn't think of but could possibly make sense of with some thought.
The only dream I ever had that I would call a nightmare was a paralysis event that ended with some monstrous bat-like thing hovering over me while I was unable to move in bed... certainly terrifying.
Pretty well up until my voice changed, I'd record audio accounts of some of my most memorable dreams. I tried a couple times afterward, but was too annoyed by my voice to do so with any confidence. I eventually started writing them down after a particularly interesting series in 2005. I noticed a connection between the climate in my room and how vivid dreams were, and I wound up doing my final science fair project of Highschool on figuring out how atmosphere and dreams were related. (I was attending the state's math and science school at the time, for which Science fair was a huge deal and started in the second half of the Junior year and ended on my eighteenth Birthday. I was quite pleased to not place and thus have to continue with it. XD ).
I haven't had much that I'd call lucidity, though there have been many instances where I'm aware that I'm in a dream and treat situations accordingly--for instance, I had several dreams in which elevators acted weird, so there were later dreams where I avoided getting on an elevator because I didn't want such an episode to interrupt the storyline that was in progress.
As far as interpretting dreams goes... mine never really seem like messages so much as reactions to things that interest or frighten me.
I kinda want to try and interpret sex-related dreams here a bit, but I lack the time (and this thread seems to be going in a different direction...). Maybe later.
I don't really know how I'd react to the sort of thing mentioned in the first post. :-/ . . .
