Back in ancient Russia, some lords wrote to a Viking lord a letter that

themselves and would Rurik kindly come south and rule them.

I have advocated these last decades Russia badly needs a

Rurikovichi Party, my guess at spelling, whereby they would recognize

as their forefathers their inability to rule themselves and possibly

invite some retired Swedish or Norwegian Prime Minister to rule them.

Along those same lines, being unable to rule ourselves, humankind, and as a fan of Anna and waiting for her to recruit me, I would like to demonstrate my readiness for the Visitors by establishing the Visitors Party, or The V Party.

This is the standard pretext for one nation to invade another. My first memory of it was when russia invaded Afghanistan. Later on I found out that that this is the way it's always been done, past and present.

My father use to recite that letter from the local Russian royalty to Rurik.

Events you are speaking of are, approximately, around 850-s or so. Two full centuries from event to writing it is a bit much for accurate description.

Although not the thread topic, whatever else you know of the Rurik invitation would be appreciated. The myth and what facts exist? It just may make us more ready when the, "V" arrive.

My Russian wife bought me a Russian history book many years back and the first thing I indexed was, Rurik. (She does not like history, her father did. She did not even know of the War with Finland)

The Rurik history has always fascinated me. Thank You!
