Hi everyone , my name is Chloe, im a preop transgendered female in transition since 21, im 29. I have been exploring a lot of the world of SRS GRS, castration, hormones and i enjoy learning something new on a daily basis.

I've been interested in sexual reassignment surgery for years and have come to the realisation that castration is going to be the best step for the moment to help with my transition (so on and so forth on hormones and t-blockers add up so much).

I've been hearing a lot of information about Dr Kimmel and I know he is now retired and no longer performing castration, who is one of the next best to go to?. I live in North Carolina , and i work in retail at Marshalls, and i dont make much to save up but if i put my heart into it i could .Could anyone help with information to any castration drs(in the us) that arent too much on the expensive side. Thanks all who read my post, and Happy Easter holiday to all

IF you are TS can't you get it done pretty easily? IF you are living as a woman and already taking hormones, I would think it would be pretty easy to get done.

I don't know if they still do it, but there used to be a clinic in Olympia, WA, that specialized in the castration of qualified TS women. An acquaintance had it done about 5 years ago.

There's also Dr Marcia Bowers in CO state.

Welcome to the Archive.

Dr Kimmel has retired. No other doctor that we know of that is doing castrations on request. Being transgendered, castration will be far more easy to get done. With that being said it will still take a long term commitment to be castrated. You would have to go through the normal testing and leave as a female full time. The doctors will use the Harry Benjamin standards of care. That will spell out all the things you have to do before the transition.

Wish you all the luck in finding a good doctor.

Thanks everyone for the responces. Yea i know about Marci in Colorado. Her srs procedures are about $16-18000. so im wondering how much her castration procedure is. I know there are other SRS drs in the us but they are hard to find for some reason. I'm sure they can do it but just to find out information, if they are worth it and such. I have been living as a female for years and have been on HRT for 8 years so passing requirements wouldnt be a problem, im just worried about the norm price and procedure, who is good and wont leave me scarred up for life.

I plan to go to Dr Preecha in Thailand for my SRS but if i go to thailand to get castrated it would be pretty pricey to go back again when i could have just gone once and got it all taken care of so i want to get it in one shot.

I just didnt know if anyone knew of any information about castration drs. I know in the tattooing, bondage, body mod world, castration is a part, and i know its risky but i love reading up on the performances how its done and so on.

Againt thanks to all who have replied ! xo;)

That's what is called a "cutter" around here and I doubt you will find anyone here that would recommend using one much less giving you contact info on one.

Dr. Harold Reed in Florida is reasonably close to you, and he is willing to do a simple orchiectomy as a first step in transition. When I spoke to him in Oslo last June, he indicated that he would be willing to work with those who had a Male-to-Eunuch GID who could get two letters from counselors. He seems far more reasonable than most surgeons with whom I have spoken.

Thanks for the recomendations!. The Dr in Miami looks Great with his techniques!. I have been seeing a therepist for almost a year now so i definately have one signature.

I agree with you ramses i wanted to admit i was interested in the underground world of "cutters" also but i know to most its entering dangerous grounds. Im a piercer and amature tattoo artist so dabbling in the field you are opened to a lot of new experiences.

I am glad i found this forum. I feel sort of "at home" since a lot of my friends arent really opened to this subject, and most of my transgendered friends who have gotten srs have sort of dissapeared into the shadows so i dont really have many to turn to for advice. especially with touchy subjects as some found on here.
