This story is extremely well-written and cleverly put together. It deserves to be better known.

The central character, Rick Barrett, is passionately fond of anal sex with pretty boys. The present love of his life is "Shelley" - predictably golden-haired, blue-eyed -and pre-pubescent.

Rick is blackmailed by a Federal agent, Jacob Wildenstein, into making Shelley available for a "sting" operation in order to nail a very senior politician. (This subsequently turns out to be the President himself). To obtain evidence of the sexual act, a miniature short-wave transmitter has to be implanted in the boy's body - and how more ingeniously could that be done than by planting it in the boy's scrotum, after removing one of his testicles?

The sting takes place - we are treated to a blow-by-blow account of it. It is only afterwards that Rick discovers from Jacob that the FBI, CIA or whatever, needed transmission on two wave-lengths, and removed BOTH the boy's testicles. Shelley is a eunuch and will never enter puberty without HRT.
