Every time I enter EA now, I have to type my name and password, even though I always check the "remember me" box. Until recently, once I'd checked remember, I could enter repeatedly without typing my name and password. Is this a change in EA?

No, it is not an EA change. The remember function works for me.

That upgrade to 3.8.4 might have caused that. On my site, it seems to affect some but not others. Hell, on one computer, I have to log in each time, but on another, I'm automatically logged in (my site, not this one). I recently upgraded to 3.8.5 and it caused some to have log in problems. I suspect it's a combination of Vb and whatever browser the person is using.

Could be your browser settings got changed and will not remember the site. Fire wall is also a possibility. Seems like the same thing is happening to me on several sites as well is this one.

I had to sign in the other day but now it remembers me.

I use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. I haven't had this problem anywhere else.

I have noticed this as well, but it isn't just on the EA. It's happened to many other forums sites I've visited, and some site I visit frequently does not auto-complete when I type in the 1st few letters of their url in the url bar.

I haven't changed any settings, so I am wondering about this.

For me it is intermittent. After a restart, sometimes I have to sign in and sometimes not. And since EA just upgraded, Microsoft sent out a bunch of updates last Tues, about the same time I upgraded my browser ro Opera 10.5, so I have no idea which one caused the problem.

Today, after several years of fetching email automatically, Outlook suddenly started asking for my email password. Since Outlook has nothing to do with EA and isn't accessed via my browser, my suspicion is that the problem may have something to do with the recent security updates to Windows from Microsoft.
