My subject really does belong in the Deep Dark Cellar. Here goes.

==================================================

blab (blb)

v. blabbed, blab·bing, blabs

v.tr.

To reveal (secret matters) especially through indiscreet or unreserved talk.

v.intr.

1. To reveal secret matters.

2. To chatter thoughtlessly or indiscreetly.

n.

1. An incessant or indiscreet talker.

2. Lengthy chatter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

AMERICANS, perhaps others, are talking themselves into oblivion.

We complain about our differences of thought about religion, politics, social topics, the economy and more.

And hardly anyone can keep a secret, no matter how important, big, or small.

We rarely blab about what we have in common or about what is good.

And we accomplish little to nothing.

We are entwined in a web of chatter that is strangling us.

From TV and RADIO talk shows, to newspapers, to the internet.

Blab, blab, blab........to no avail.

Oh great, everybody "gets it off their chest", "soap boxes their opinion".

But very little gets accomplished.

All talk, no action leads to no results.

And here I am, guilty of the same. Blabbing about blabbing.

As a person, as a people, as a Country, how are we going to get ourselves out of the whining, bitching, complaining, grumbling, stone throwing mode and get into a mode where problems are prioritized, plans are made, and action is initiated to generate progress at solving our problems?

I don't know !

If I had a magic wand I could fix it, but I don't.

I feel so powerless and the situation seems so impossible and dire.

It is beginning to appear that unrestrained freedom has within it certain inherit flaws and we are in the midst of experiencing some of those flaws.

Not that I want yet MORE government regulations or socialism or dictatorship ! Common purpose and self restraint would be preferable.

It just seems that we are a melting pot that has become a country divided, and divided in many many ways. The only thing we can agree on is to disagree.

Maybe we need to segment the country into 50 different regions where "birds of a feather can congregate together". Just kidding. But truthfully don't you prefer to hang out with people who have more in common with you than with people who are at opposite ends of the pole from your ideas?

Our "melting pot" experiment may be backfiring on us.

United we stand, divided we fall............it's beginning to look like we are in the midst of a freefall.

I have been thinking the same exact thing, and I am trying in my small way to do something about it.

Yesterday I invited both Bobover3 and Mac to this summers MOM event so as to meet them in person and make a couple of new friends, we may disagree on politics but I am sure we can find that common ground for friendship.

I would also like to invite any and all to this summers MOM event in Aug. its here in the Twin Cities area and the 4 days are filled with the three 'F's Fun Food and Fellowship.

Its time to have some real tea parties or wine parties or just plane get togethers.

BLAB....

When there is no real news cover they resort to BLAB!

When you have nothing to talk about BLAB!

We have 5 minutes of news cast/show time left...lets fill it with BLAB.

Yap, we are full of BLAB! We BLAB about that sex addict golf man. Yesterday he went before the press and said...BLAB and now we are going to hear what the average person thinks about it...BLAB....

or

Can you believe BLAB about the Olympics yesterday! Those judges must be blind!

You know what? Humans are 50% BLAB and 50% SHIT!

Just my two nuts! :dong:😄

Somedays I prefer BLAB to serious discussions of Proust and Nietsche.
