Yes. This is a long-time favorite of mine. I'm definitely a "g0y." I've always been into everything except anality.
I'm not sure I agree that the bad image of gays is mainly attributable to a disgust with the anal. Marriage has been a socioeconomic unit throughout history: husband and wife had distinct, necessary jobs to create and raise children, to sustain and protect all the members of the family, and to do all the work once required for living. That's why marriages were arranged in most places. Marriage was a practical arrangement.
Modern society has replaced most chores with machines, and made of marriage an option dictated by mutual affinity and romance. Marriage has become a luxury which people quit easily. But our culture is still dominated by the traditions based on necessity. In this view, men have to be disciplined breadwinners and protectors. If men gave themselves over to their emotions, the whole of traditional society would be endangered. That's why homosexuality is felt to be more dangerous than lesbianism: the imperatives of the traditional male role are what supports traditional society. So even if g0ys rule, I believe many men will still be uneasy about indulging their man to man feelings. The greater the temptation, the greater the uneasiness.

You've got to be kidding.
Sorry, I may not wear a feather boa and worship the Golden Girls, but I'm gay. I Like men, like having sex with men, and am not all that worried about what other people think about it. It's their problem, not mine.

"by our very nature reject anything to do with playing inside another person's butt; -hence we find the entire notion of "anal-sex" to be dirty"
^-- !? Right there you've lost me.

Okay a little messy at times but the shower together afterwards can be wonderful.

As I'm about to unload on no-member-in-particular on a different gay-related topic, let me explain what I think this is about. There's this obsession with anal sex among some people; that's what they think defines us as gay. The idea of true love between two guys being what defines 'gay' is really foreign to them, so they feel this need to set up a protective term for what they are...which is, gay, thinking about anal a LOT, and scared to death of it, but at the same time wanting to open themselves up to love and being honest about that.
In other words, I just think they don't get out enough and they're a bit scared. I'd go easy on them since they aren't lying about who they are; they're just confused as to what the word 'gay' means.

Graylayer02, you seem to be saying the same thing as the site, in different words. Anal doesn't define gay. You can be into "true love between guys," and the physical expression of that love, without analism. I think the site is responding to that strain in the gay community which says "you've got to be into analism to be gay; now do so or be ostracized." People who got out enough could afford to be tolerant of various preferences.
I do differ from the site in not being intolerant of those who prefer analism. Fine by me, so long as I receive the same respect for my oralism and frot.

Hi Bobover,
I'd never heard of the word 'analism' before about a minute ago, but I've never felt much of a pressure either way from gays on that subject; what pressure did exist was in my own head. Most gays actually don't do that much in the way of anal play (lots more oral, ouch, TEETH); I think that this worry about 'analism' is really a fear about what others think.
Does anyone have a copy of the 'Analist Manifesto' with him? I had a copy back during my gay-recruitment session but I think I lost it in a move.
This is great material for my upcoming 'Gay FAQ' post because it relates to the fear that a lot of guys have about being gay.

Explains why guys with dentures are so popular.
Any gay man has more than enough to do thinking about homophobia, if he thinks about it at all. Thinking about the ideological rigidity of his fellow gays, though they'd deny being his fellows, is too much. A sad fact is that belonging to a minority doesn't stop people from finding others to dislike.
