Apparently some BME video called "Pain Olympics" have become very popular in the youtube crowd. There's some penectomy and genital mutilation in the videos, among other things. Check out the hundreds of "response" videos people made on youtube.com, all of them showing people shocked and horrified while watching the video. I wathced the video with a couple of buddies of mine and the pained look on their faces was priceless. I, on the other hand, was trying hard to hide my boner.
I don't completely understand people's shock and revulsion over the videos... Other than the obvious medical repercussions (infection, etc.) these videos are far less disturbing than people getting hacked to death and those don't garner nearly as much attention. :-\
