chat problem

I have a weird problem with the chat, I can see the people and I can read what they write, but it seems that all the people ignore me.
Is it possible that I was banned and I don't know it?

When I visit the chat room it is 50-50 that I get a conversation going.

I entered with a female name too to make sure that people just weren't ignoring me, but no replies at all.
But today the chat magically started working again alone...
