Starting with Siterone

This week I started my chemical castration with Siterone (cyproterone acetate), I'm taking 2x50mg/day. My plans are to continue whith this regime about 2 week to see what happens, than adding 2x20mg Tamoxifen and reducing the Siterone.
I want to reduce my sex drive, because I frequented a lot of prostitutes, that costs an amount, that gives some financial trouble. I'm thinking some months with inability to perform would it make easier to get rid of my addiction.
My first impression after 5 day: Less sponanous erections, but still a strong libido and masturbating 2x day. I feel more tired and need more sleep, there's sweating at night. I get to piss more and I feel a dull ache in my testicles.
My questions: Do my impessions compare to other members experiences? Whats your timeline experience on: 1. Penis shrinking, 2. Reducing of boy hair?
Thanks for your feedback.

First of all - welcome to the zoo.
About timeline - give it some time to work - at least a month.
Feeling tired is normal, other symptoms you describe are expected too (may be a bit early?)
I haven't tried tamoxifen, so can not say anything more about it.
Take care.
Fhunter.

Would stay on the siterone at 100mg for some time. You do not have full effects yet. Some effects take time to be felt. Some keep changing for a while. Adding Tamoxifen can increase the effects. Keep a log of what is change every day. Keep in mind that everyone has different experience with castration drugs. You may not get all the effects to the same degree.

I have been on Siterone for a year now.
Bobby is right about not changing dosage so quickly. One needs to give it some time before one can effectively evaluate its effects. At the beginning, if you are like me, I wanted to see results right away but in actuality it takes time to fully appreciate all the efects of castration, maybe six months or more. The early symptoms that you are experiencing are what I had. The constant tired feeling I was able to counter with DHEA but that might be due to that DHEA purportedly can increase one's T. Taking an iron supplement might help, I've read. I had and still have the same urge to urinate more often. I take Tamoxifen to reduce breast enlargement and to prevent bone loss. I've read that it can help to reduce libido too but I don't know, since I have always been on the CA at the same time. Eventually, you will find yourself with little sex drive and an inability to fantasize or dream about sex and be unable to have erections, unless manually stimulated. They will be weaker than before, from my experience. Sex no longer is the driving force that it once was.

Thanks for your answers
The idea of Tamoxifen is also to avoid Gynecomastia, I that this problem once when I was 20, they had to remove this surgically.
I'm not keen to stay on a high dose of Siterone to avoid the side effects.
Some of the remarked effects may be still side effects for my flu two weeks ago.
As read in the forum the first remarkable effects of cyproterone acetate need about 2 weeks, so maybe some are just placebo effects.
This is a test run and I won't last if for more than 3 months to avoid irreversibility.

Update after 2 weeks:
Lesser side effects, no sweating and less ache in the testicles. Still not the energy as before a bit reduced libido, less and weaker erections, but I can still get off 2x day. This is only an update not an expession of my inpatience.
I'm adding now 2x20mg Tamoxifen as scheduled

Give it some time to work. You do not get all the effects all at once. Some take months to be noticed.

I agree with Bobbie, but adding the tamoxifen will deffinetly hit the libido hard and stop most errections.
good luck

Two weeks on Cyproterone acetate is nothing. I think your imagining things. Yes it will beging to reduce your sex drive by reducing/blocking your T level. In a year or two I expect your penis will shrink about one third. Possibly due to not erecting as much as anything. Biggest benefit is gettig rid of those unwanted urges. Also it allows estrogen, if you are taking it, to provide significant breast growth. I have a much smaller penis, big boobs and no body hair except pits and pubs.

Ok 2 weeks on siterone are nothing, but in a lot of postings I got the informations that they felt the first results after 2 weeks and about 3 weeks when injecting Depo Provera. If one would get results just after a year it would be impossible to do a trial run, because after 6 months you're at risk to get a permanent result.
