Estrogen HRT

Hi Yall,
I have searched through the forum for posts about Estrogen HRT, but I still have a couple of questions for those of you who have been castrated and are on estrogen only for HRT.
1. Does the estrogen give you enough energy to get through the day like T would?
2. How is your libido with estrogen instead of T?
Thanks!

If you are having hot flashes because of the lack of T, the estrogen will take away the hot flashes. When I went on estrogen, I did feel better, but did not totally recover the viror I had prior to my castration via testicle injections. But I do feel the estrogen is doing good things for my health and is better overall for my health. You need to have one or the other at least. Im now on a regime of 3/4 is estrogen in my system, and 1/4 is tes. I have about the same levels of tes as a women has in her late 40s

If you take estrogen there will be little to allot of Femization and it's one of those things were your "Milage May Very" is so true.
When ever I had even had a little estrogen my breasts grew larger, there are users of estrogen which have little or no breast growth. I did like the feeling when I did take estrogen.

1) I don't have the energy, on E, that I had on T. Though I'm no famished slug either.
2) My libido is fine, thank you.

It basically doesn't exist unless something arouses me. Unlike back when my testicles lived above ground, where my libido would come calling for no reason, arrive unannounced, demand all my attentions, and then, in the end, leave me holding the bag.

I take 50 ug of ethinyl estradiol per day.
1) With estrogen, I have the same energy level as I had when I was on (my own natural) testosterone. However, when I was taking cyproterone acetate at the same time as estrogen (before I had my orchi) I felt tired all the time. I had to sleep in the afternoons and I found it very difficult to drive for long distances.
When I have had to stop taking estrogen, for one or two weeks, I find that my energy levels drop, but return to normal within a few days of restarting estrogen.
2) With estrogen, I have a much higher libido than when I was on (my own natural) testosterone. However, taking cyproterone acetate at the same time as estrogen gave me a very low libido.
When I have had to stop taking estrogen, for one or two weeks, I find that my libido disappears, but returns to normal within a few days of restarting estrogen.
I guess estrogen is good if you are brain is wired for it - estrogen has been very good for me. However, other people may have different experiences. For example, men who take estrogen because of prostate cancer, but who identify as male and would not otherwise have taken estrogen tend to find its effects very distressing. They usually find that they have reduced energy and reduced libido.
Also, there are various different estrogens (e.g. estradiol, ethinyl estradiol, premarin), which can be given through different routes (e.g. pills, injections, patches), and at different doses. These factors will affect the results you get.

Thank you so much for your responses. I am hoping that my urologist will agree to do the deed soon. Unfortunately even after >15 sessions of alcohol injections, I was still producing 380 ng/dl but interesting enough (without taking any meds) I also had 140 ng/dl estrogen. I have some gynecomastia at the moment, which I assume is from the estrogen (presumably from the damaged testies). I have grown fond of them and would like to grow them a little bigger once I get the orchyectomy. I am straight and enjoy having sex (on a normal basis) therefore do not want to compromise that completely. I do not want to have to rely on T if I don't have to because a decrease in my (overactive) libido is one of the things I am after. If there is anybody else who uses estrogen exclusively please let me know about your experiences with it. Thanks again!

It felt like after each injection of alcohol my T would go up, more beard growth etc. As I was on HRT at the time I did not notice any increase of libido, because even with HRT I did not really have a libido.
