The EA is disgracing itself by showing any stories by the author "Farmboy." This author has never heard of using a period preferring to use the word "and" ,running on sentences for what seems to be several paragraphs. This was the second and last story I have read by this "author."
Please, don't allow this garbage on the EA ... have one standard: grammatically correct, to some extent at the very least.

To which version of "Farm Boy" are you referring, and what are the post dates?
Anything posted at EA prior to 10-27-04 could have been released/accepted by Bboy, our founder. It was his policy to post any submissions, so long as he could muddle through them. This was a point of argument between us for a number of years, as he was highly opposed to trashing anything at all that was submitted.
If the dates of the stories are from before this time, then it's very possible that they are NOT up to current standards.
Thanks for letting me know, and reviving the memories of some of our more heightened arguments.

I don't care about when the damn thing was written nor do I care about past policies and inter office politics. I just don't want to click on a story and read absolute garbage,ok? i thought eunuchs were supposed to be brighter than average? Certainly the creative eunuchs/writers should be, right?

I would suggest that you not read any of them - that you go somewhere else. Anyone so rude, after given a more than adequate explanation, is a jerk. If I had access to the ban button, you would be gone.

Maybe we should have a system where members can edit stories that have interesting ideas but bad executions. I know this was done with A Lamb for a Lion and Paolo allowed me to edit one of the parts of Little Prince story.
If we do this, Someone should probably check the edit to make sure the meaning is not changed much.
There are a series of three stories that have poor spelling, grammar, punctuation etc. The titles of the stories are:
Summer camp reductions, mom's a great urologist
Summer camp revenge, our mom the urologist help. finalle
Summer camp revenge. our mom's an urologist,,
I have combined these three stories into one 6,502 word story and corrected most of the errors. I think I have keep the original meaning. Should I submit the story? If so, what title should I use?

The problem with older files is that the editing scripts cannot access them and repost them properly. I don't know why. Neither does IE. All of that runs with hand-written custom code that Bboy wrote. Only HE knew how it really worked. What we have works. Granted there are better systems out there.
harrypotterfanfiction dot com has an excellent system where you register, and can edit your own stories, track stats, etc.
Implementing that here for old stuff would be impossible, however.
