Heck, I damn near had an orgasm when I saw the title! If you're not reading this series, you should be. Think THE STAND combined with LORD OF THE FLIES combined with EA of course and there you have it!

"Tribes" is one of the stories I had heretorfore missed, so based on two very respected opinions I downloaded the entire thing last night and placed it on my laptop. I was NOT disappointed.

I spent most of the day today, when I should have been working, reading the first 5 chapters. What an excellent story! Now to ivoke some self discipline and tear myself away long enough to do my own writing.

"Tribes" is one of those stories that I wish as I read that I had written it. Absolutely wonderful, Androboy!

thanks bryan, paolo, and charlie -- praise from each of you is worth so much more than i can begin to say.

the good news is that since i am pretty much starting from scratch with classes -- feels pretty good not to have a whole semester of make-up work hanging over my head -- i can get back to writing on a regular basis again.

chapter 20 of The Tribes is progressing and the story is beginning to move in an interesting direction.

paolo -- i loved how you described the story -- all are favorite authors of mine. way cool.

I finally worked my way through all chapters of "Tribes" and my opinion has changed. I have gone from REALLY GREAT to ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!

Such an imagination! And the whole darn thing is so plausible! I found myself wondering what the world would be like if such a catastrophe happened, and there is not doubt in my mind that all the people you describe would be there, Androboy,
