Tens machines.

I recently bought a Tens machine. It wasn't expensive. £15, or about $22 at current exchange rates. I bought it because my lady friend often complains about aches and pains in the hip area, and I thought it might help.

Well, OK, it's great fun to have her spread nekkid and face down, over my lap, while I apply the oils and massage the achey bits. And of course my fingers (and the oils) do stray to points where angels fear to go!

And that's great fun!

But ... well, you know, she wants me to stick to the achey bits. And that can get sort of boring!

So I wondered if a tens unit would do the job for her.

Cutting a shortish story even shorter, she said it was 'interesting'.

She preferred my fingers, aparently. Even when they did insist on going where the sun doesn't shine!

Which left me with a redundant tens unit.

It came with very specific printed instructions about how to use it.

In particular, it said (several times, and in several ways) do NOT place the gel pads on (places including) the sexual organs.

Red rag to a bull, I suppose! Of course I tried it. And, well, the sensations are rather nice!

And the sensations are very more-ish!

OK, it's not an industrial-grade machine. But it does have settings that, frankly, go a little beyond what I would call pleasurable!

Does anyone here have experience of these things? Any advice to impart? Should I bin it as hazardous to my health? Or does anyone have any suggestions regarding safe usage? Duration, strength, frequency of use etc?

Electro-stim, Estim for short, is quite a popular pastime, look for ir on the 'net. I have to say that I have tried a Tens on myself, it was only partially successful, but it is interesting! For serious Estimmers there are some very sophisticated machines which do apparently give hands-free orgasms, for both males and females.

They do have probes designed for vagina, urethra and rectum. Thet can work with many TENS units. The stimulation can go from enjoyable to painfull.

What I'm concerned about is, why do the instructions that come with the tens unit make such specific reference to the genitalia as a no-go area?

Is it just anti-erotism? No, I can't believe that.

I think I've heard that the prostate gland doesn't take to happily to e-stim, especially if it's not totally healthy.

If I site the gel pads (a) on the glans, covered by the foreskin, and (b) just behind the bollocks, won't that avoid the prostate?

Manufacturer's don't like excess liabilities. I can just see - especially in litigious America - failure to warn as due cause for suit for damages. Likely they'd win too.

If someone can sue McDonald's for the coffee being too hot....after spilling it in their lap...because they couldn't hold it with their legs while driving...and WIN....this would be easy money.

Testicles don't like current flowing through them. On BME, there is a story claiming that they became a eunuch with repeated electrical play with the testicles.

They could be onto something.

Since I've only used Tens units subsequent to being castrated, I never thought much about their impact on testicles. Anyway, I've used them and they seem to guarantee a hands-free orgasm and ejaculation. Luv 'em. I place the probes anywhere in the area of the perineum, empty scrotum or cock base.
