If you truly want it and have for a long time, then go for it. However, if you're doing it to satisfy your fantasy you should either not do it, or only do it after you give it a long period of consideration and truly know what you're getting yourself into.

Thaks for the very sensible advice. I have been thinking about this for the last 35 years so I'm pretty sure that I know what I'm doing. That said it is still good advice to think very carefully about taking action like this because as you say there is no return.
