Why is there so many stories in German?

Why is there so many stories in German? I look and see hundreds of stories in German and I would like to read them, but using something like babel fish doesn't really work all that well. I was wondering if there were people on here that could translate some of them.

If some people could translate them that would be great.

Thanks.

Because there are a lot of Germans who like to write stories and post them here.

You could use one of the many Internet translation services if you're seriously interested in reading stories not in your native language. :)

babelfish.yahoo.com is one.

I do, from a demographic perspective, find the disproportionately large number of German stories intersesting. Why so few stories in French or Spanish, or the languages of other similarly sized countries?

I'm personally not complaining, just noticing an interesting anomaly and being intrigued as to the possible explanations for it.

There is an unusually high number of Germans speaking English because the German culture has been systematically americanized after WW II and almost every German has learnt some English at school. So I would think it's more natural for Germans to participate in international forums like this than for most other non English speaking nations. To write a story, and to write it well, requires a much higher command of the language, though. So many will not be able to do so and submit their stories in their native tongue.

Secondly, I would not be surprised if there were a higher proportion of men in Germany fantasizing about castration than in other countries. I suppose we will agree upon that fantasies of castration and painful destruction of one's genitals and sexuality are reflections of deep emotions like pain and self denial. These may be a little more prevalent in Germany, partly because I see a tendency in the German 'soul' not to let go of hurt too easily and to take things quite seriously.

Just an 'educated guess' from a eunuch in Germany :)

Although it may be ethnic stereotyping, I always sort of assumed that it was the old reputation that Germans have had of being unusually kinky. Where would modern S&M porn be without the Nazi or Prussian Military imagery. Further back there's the time of the Kit Kat Club in Cabaret, then through the Victorian era and the time of the Pearl and Fanny Hill all the way back to von Sacher-Masoch. Always the Germans and the English had the kinky reputations.

Hi Airin TS!

I guess you as living in Germany are right about Germans and interest in the topic of getting nutted. I as a Swede have found that the majority of films at the sexshops from Germany are centered around slightly violent sex and nutting would find a good home in that area.

Greetings

John

I suspect there is a strong correlation between kinky and creativity. It comes from unorthodox thinking.

YES!!!! That is why there is not Southern Baptist stories in the EA!

Can we draw a conclusion about intelligence, also?

Well you know what they say about Fundamentalists...

(no FUN, too much DAMn, and not enough MENTAL)

As for why there are many stories in German and English, I've always thought it was because those cultures (Germany, England, America) are or have been particularly sexually repressive, even violently so. When you grow up in a sexually repressive home, one of two things happens -- you either remain extremely prude, or you become hyper-sexual in some way (for example "abnormal" sexual desires/fantasies/interests, or excessive sexual activity, or maybe both!).

I grew up in a home like this, and once puberty hit I became hyper-interested in sexuality, and developed many "abnormal" sexual interests. This hyper-interest in sex is one of the main reasons I've written erotic literature on both this site and others.
