Professional research on castrations

I just returned from the psych ward where I had to show I am sane so that the lucky urologist in town will accept me for the orchiectomy. One of my shrinks told me to read good, professional literature on castrations, i.e., do they really bring that much-heralded "eunuch calm" and will I not have my fixations on young girls so that I don't go to jail but rather go to Heaven? So I realize that university, peer reviewed research is difficult to find but does anybody know of some I should read?

O.K. interesting post, however, in order to go to heaven, according to the Bible, you must have faith in Christ. Faith not works, faith and your sins are forgiven, however, that means that you turn from sin and live for God. It doesn't mean you won't ever sin again, churches are full of hypocrites, but the hypocrites have their sins forgiven. O.K. I know, enough theology, but I'm just saying that's the way to heaven Biblically speaking. Don't shoot me or trash me, please!

All men typically fixate on sexual things, some men are more deviant in their desires and anytime you do something to someone else against their will, then you've crossed the line and deserve to be jailed. Also, castration does not guarantee that the man will stop having sexual desires, they will lessen though and sometimes it will "fix" the man from having thoughts about young girls. Hope this resolves your issues.

There isn't much peer-reviewed literature on contemporary eunuchs, though four recent articles are available in PDF format for anyone who sends me a <Private Message> that includes an off-Archive return address that accepts attachments.

If you let me know what your specific needs/interests are, I might be able to send you information about other articles that are out there. (There aren't very many.)

I suspect that your "shrink" doesn't actually know the current literature, and I would be happy to send him/her copies of the same PDF articles, along with any additional information about contemporary eunuchs that might be of use. Just send me a name and an email address....

When I read references to "sins", I wonder what sins the writer is referring to?

The modern Roman Catholic Catechism lists the sins as: "pride, avarice, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, and sloth/acedia". (Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins )

Each of the seven deadly sins now also has an opposite among corresponding seven holy virtues (sometimes also referred to as the contrary virtues). In parallel order to the sins they oppose, the seven holy virtues are humility, charity, kindness, patience, chastity, temperance, and diligence.

-------------------------

Fornication use to be a "sin" but was removed.

In this context homosexuality is not a sin.

Before somebody says homosexuality IS a sin, in today's context, LUST as defined by the church can lead to acts of perversion, but today homosexuality is not considered in the professional field of psychiatry to be a perversion.
