What Happened to the Devil?

Post by moi621 (imported) »

Many of my neighbors are members of this or that Christian church and I wonder what percent of them, believe.

And of those who do, believe - how many believe in the Devil?

It seems denying the existance of, the Devil, is a path to unrecognized evil.

On a scale of ten, I am a ten - believer.

Spiritualist.

Drafted, I didn't sign on.

I rarely feel some people as, bad / evil.

They give me the heebie jeebies.

Make the hair on the back of my neck stand, sort of speak.

I believe in good and spiritual elements associated with good.

I believe in evil and spiritual elements associated with evil.

I believe in neutral spiritual elements too.

And elements of the departed as visited me last Nov. 2.

My neighbors who believe in God and Jesus and Mary, etc.

and don't believe in the Devil, scare me.

They are self blinded to right and wrong. Everything is, Ok.

Bring back, The Devil.

for recognition sake, not worship.

The only Devil I believe in manifests itself in the likeness of Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Corporate America, Osama Bin-Laden.

The devil does always have much more fabulous outfits than god. I mean, God usually just gets a white suit, maybe a scraggly old beard. The Devil, on the other hand, gets horns, a flashy suit, red, fire, piercing eyes, jet black and styled hair, perhaps a little goatee, and, of course, elegant clothing, etc. God really needs to get a better wardrobe and a make-over!! I mean, he ends up looking like a homeless man who was given clothes by a bleach obsessed charity.

Satan's greatest advantage nowadays is few believe the Dark Lord is real.

Unfettered with serious opposition from man Evil runs rampant. Was it always thus and, due to 24hr news cycles, we now know more than yesteryear? I don't know.

I honestly feel sorry for people who believe in God, gods, angels, A Devil or devils, demons, gouls, ghosts, etc... etc...

It's like dealing with children who didn't learn Santa Claus wasn't real or when they did, couldn't accept it.

Vampires and werewolves are just ... cool and hey, who knows, maybe they're real too!

That's okay. We all need someone to feel sorry for.

Everyone's entitled to my opinion. :)

If there is a devil then Palin is his pawn. However, I do not believe in the Devil. A man named Dante decided that if there is a heaven there must be a hell then wrote the Divine Comedy (or called Dante's Inferno) some time in the early 1300's. God tolerates evil so that we can learn and then report back.

Hell preceded Dante!

You got that right. I was a professional werewolf before I retired.
