Feminizing

I've written a few times and gotten some good advice and here I was wonder if anyone has experience with Aldactone (Spironolactone) and it's effects. It's really two-fold. I want to retain hair and also I want to slightly femininze. I have a prescription for Spiro and would like to know from experienced users what to expect from it. I did take Finasteride and Dutasteride, but noticed that they didn't really seem to help my hair 'grow', but maybe I should have gone longer than 6 months. What effects can be expected? and which ones are permanent? I'd just like to know. Also, when taking either or both of these what other meds or supplements are recommended? I would like to be more feminine but not too quickly, as I think it might take me a bit of time to psychologically make the necessary adjustments. Thanks.

Some hair loss is not hormone related. Loss of hair in the crone of the head. Top center is more hormone related. Hair loss in the front can be more hereditary. I have been castrated for near 8 years of chem and the real thing. My loss of hair in front is still going on. Maybe even faster as I age. Finasteride can work for many people. Again it is mostly hair loss in the back of the head.
If you are reducing the testosterone you can develop osteoporosis. Taking calcium of 1200 units a day can help prevent it. Feminization is effected on how much your T levels have dropped. Also depends on just how your body is changed. There is no answer or table to check. Every one is different.

Didn't want to waste threads so I'll post my business here for it concerns the theme of feminizing.
I have already made my decision about chemical castration, yet one thing bothers me. Can I get myself chemical castration without feminizing myself? I want to stay the way I am psychically, I dont want to become a shemale or androgyn, for I dont consider it in anyway a better option than being a male. I dont want breasts and I would like to keep my hair as it is. I just want to vanish my sex drive.
For what I have read the feminizing effect comes from the estrogen, not the anti-androgens, am I right? So if I dont take estrogen, I wont get feminized?
Is there any way to prevent these side effects?

Search the archive with two variant of keywords: either - tamoxifen - this is an antiestrogen drug, or antidepressants - some of them remove/lower your sex drive.
PS. And welcome to the zoo

I was chemically castrated for well over 2 1/2 years before I was surgically castrated and didn't develop any feminine physical characteristics. My purpose in being done chemically was not to be more feminine but simply to reduce my need for sex. I took an injection of Depo Provera every 4 weeks and this was enough to remove my need for sex but still had a bit of testosterone in my system. I generally tested right about 100 when the lab range for nornal was 280-1080 and absolute castration level was considered under 50. For reasons not necessary here, for one month I took 150 mg daily of Androcur and got my testosterone down to 44, in the absolute castration range. But I was uncomfortable there- lost more strength, skin was super dry and itchy, etc. So after my testicles were surgically removed, my doctor gave me a prescription for replacement testosterone, Testim which is similar to Androgel. I've experimented around with the dosage and my doctor has been very supportive of changing the dosage and testing to really see what is happening. My last test period was half a tube of Testim every other day. This got my T level at 122 which is pretty close to the level when I was on Depo Provera. Now I'm doing a bit less that half a tube every other day and will be tested again before the end of the year.
My point out of all of this is that I do very well with a very low level of testosterone. It is not high enough to induce any sexual issues. I do get erections sometimes when sleeping but not when awake. I can work at it and have a limp orgasm maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks but don't need or desire it like I did previously. And I haven't developed any feminine physical symptoms. I think you can play with your testosterone level, bringing it down from normal while retaining your testes or having them removed and then bringing your T level up slightly to get you in a range where you have some testosterone so you keep some strength and energy but low enough so the sexual effects are kept at an acceptable minimum and the T level is sufficient to eliminate any feminization. It certainly helps to have a doctor who understands your needs and desires and is willing to work with you. My urologist wasn't this way at first but did come around in time and lets me tell him what dose of Testim I want to try for the next 3 month period and wants a test before my next appointment. He just gives me a blanket prescription for the general maximum amount of Testim- 2 tubes a day and I just get it refilled when necessary.
In my experience you can get what you're looking for but you might need a slight amount of testosterone to keep things slightly tipped towards male but not enough to start your sexual fires again. Good luck!
