Now as for Spiro, what effects might I notice? and are they permanent? Does it cause permanent shrinkage of either the penis or testicles?

I would like to maintain some penile function, but even with Proscar I ended up much 'softer' and not able to maintain much of an erection for long.

While it does have some antiandrogenic properties, it is pretty weak that way and generally not prescribed for that in adult males here in the US. It is also potassium sparing so be careful not to get too much potassium in your food.
