Spironolactone and personality changes

Have any of you taken Spiro? I have a prescription for it- haven't filled it yet. I'd taken Proscar (Finasteride) for 6 months, and I did notice some slight changes- increase in breast tissue and redistribution of body fat. Now as for Spiro, what effects might I notice? and are they permanent? Does it cause permanent shrinkage of either the penis or testicles?
I would like to maintain some penile function, but even with Proscar I ended up much 'softer' and not able to maintain much of an erection for long.

You will probably notice its diuretic effect more than anything else. While it does have some antiandrogenic properties, it is pretty weak that way and generally not prescribed for that in adult males here in the US. It is also potassium sparing so be careful not to get too much potassium in your food.

Seems like you are almost asking the same type of questions in 2 different threads.

If its anti androgenic properties is so weak, why is it one of the most popular drug amongst Trannies.
A number of trannies take only female hormones plus spiro as their only anti androgen

Androcur is not available via prescription in the US for "TRANSEXUALS". So I guess this is the next best thing you can get legally.

I am in Asia and I have heard it is used here too. I think the main reason is its lack of health affecting side effects though.
