Men walking in the Brookswood area may want to consider wearing a sports cup, after a man was randomly kicked in the groin by a woman in high heels last month. The kick was so violent, her victim has lost one testicle.

The crime has police concerned and the young man warning he isn’t the only victim of this high-heeled assault queen.

“It was around 2 p.m. in early September and I was walking by myself to McDonald’s, which is just on 41 Avenue,” said 22-year-old “Ed” (not his real name).

“The girl was walking in the opposite direction as me and I didn’t think anything of it, when all of a sudden she laid the boots to it.”

In absolute agony, Ed fell to the ground. He thinks he had lain there for around 15 minutes before gaining the strength to get up and go home. Before or after the attack, the woman said nothing.

“She didn’t say anything to me. I thought either she is really disgruntled with her boyfriend and I was the first male she saw or she’s disturbed. My mom heard from some constables that this is the third time in the past month this has happened. One of the times happened at night.”

As the assault is not the kind of thing you want to tell people about, Ed didn’t go to police right away.

The damaging blow to his testicles sent one of them up into his abdomen.

“I saw a specialist and I went into surgery believing they could bring my testicle down again. But when I woke up from surgery I was given the bad news that it had partially ruptured and so they had to remove it.”

He will get a prosthetic in December. But, from what he has been told, there could be a change to his testosterone levels which could have life-long effects. Ed is coming forward because he wants the girl caught, but he also doesn’t want anyone else to go through the terrible and life-altering things he has been through.

Langley RCMP are using their crime analyst to see if other attacks of this nature have taken place.

“There may be other men who haven’t come forward to the police,” said Cpl. Holly Marks. She urges those men to call or come in if the woman has attacked them.

She said there isn’t a way for her to track if there has been similar attacks.

Before the attack, Ed was ready to start working again after being off on work-related injury for a year. Now he’ll be off for at least four more weeks without any heavy lifting.

His EI has run dry.

“It has not been good,” he said.

Ed didn’t get a detailed description of the girl because he didn’t expect her to kick him. She is described as in her 20s, or younger, 5’5” to 5’7”, brunette and Caucasian. He had never seen her before and doesn’t think he’s seen her since.

Such an event is great for a fictional story, on boards such as this, but in real life? Makes you wonder what goes through people's minds? Why would someone attack a stranger - in such a vicious way? Even if she had the motives as some of our stories have, who really acts out such impulses?

Local high school kid lost his when a peer delivered a kick when it was assumed he was wearing his athletic crotch guard. He wasn't.

One immediately gone, the other was an attempted salvage.

This is happening only 20 minutes from my house! I'm going to have to start walking around that neighborhood late at night.

It sounds fictional though (like something the guy might make up), but if they actually had multiple reports then I guess it is true.

I just don't see how this could have happend. The guy must have really slow reflexes. Or he wasn't paying attention. She could not kick sideways as she walked by. She'd have to be mostly in front of the guy, and there had to be at least one full second for the girl to go from walk, to foot back, to foot forward, and the thrust of a kick. He really should have been able to get out of the way.

If it were me and someone were passing by close to me on the street or sidewalk and thier pose/gait suddenly changed position it would be instant "battlestations". I'd be paying close attention to them and ready to evade and possibly counter-attack in an instant... If she kicked, a quick grab and twist, and her leg would either be broken, disjointed, or at the very least in great pain.

Anyway, if it is true, I sure hope things turn out OK for the guy. I also totally hope they catch this girl and she gets some much deserved justice. Preferably "vigilante" justice because in a situation like this where is no question to the guilt of the criminal, vigilante justice often does a far better job than the Courts...! Maybe she could try to kick some guy with a lot of pent up anger and decent reflexes, who knows what she is up to, and he could beat the bloody !@#$ out of her in retaliation for attempting such a crime on him.

I sort of agree, but first you have to realize that this was a 20-something year old girl walking by, probably attractive, and the guy is young and from his looks and demeanor in the interview probably shy. So the guy was probably looking at her face, or if he was shy was looking away. He would definitely be distracted.

Also, this was 2pm in the afternoon on a busy street -- basically a strip mall.

I personally am into self-defense, and never let anyone (even little old ladies) get too close without being ready to defend myself. But you know most people go through life pretty unawares, and I do have to say that a young girl walking by in the afternoon wouldn't get most people's spider senses tingling.

If she was a bit psychotic, and possessed with anger or vengence, I could see it happening. Especially if she read (or heard) some of that 1990's-era Feminist crap that still seems to float around even today -- that could be enough to make her want to harm "any man" not just those responsible for whatever hurt she experienced.

It could be a good excuse for getting castrated. You'd have to figure out how to duplicate a kick that would do the damage, not sure the pain would be worth it, that's why it's probably more true than fictional.

That guy was not too bad looking. Wonder why she chose him.

Yeah...I think he's kinda cute!

Perhaps this is partly a result of the fact that anytime this happens in the media, it's usually accompanied by a laugh track. I wonder if the woman had any idea of the possible consequences of her actions and if she feels guilty knowing the damage caused?
