Yoli The Ghostbusterette here,
A friend raised the ? after the dove hunt last evening as we sat around a fire, salivating like Pavlov's Pups as steaks and bacon-wrapped dove boobs sizzled thereon. That led to some of the party relating events that (allegedly) happened either to them or someone of their acquaintance. Some interesting and spooky stuff.
I take the position that if one is to believe in God then one must admit the existence of a spirit world. I've had a few experiences that, though frightening in a couple of instances, somehow made my belief in an afterlife all the more solid (Boy! Am I in trouble!:( )
Soooo...would any here care to tell of an experience that cannot be explained by blaming it on swamp gas or the wind slamming a door?
I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!
Please note that I said "tell", not "show"!
Yoli
Often seen wandering the Tower of London with a bag of balls in one hand and a glass of a nice Shiraz in the other. Pay no attention to the lady carrying her head in her hands. It's only Anne Boleyn looking for a makeover.

I have had several, some are even documented. There is the ghost of the toys r us in san jose who after the store closes will pull out toys and play with them leaving them on the floor and in the morning the staff comes in and....
Sometimes its the electric trains other times its the legos or basket balls.
I worked a few miles down the road at Ferry Morse Seed Co. on the swing shift, it was always around 8 or 9 pm when I would see something flash by the door, but when I looked nothing and nobody was there. It was the ghost who walked the grounds. He only showed himself when a window or door was left open. He was the night watchman. Once I understood this I always thanked him and looked for the open door/window and always found one. A left for another job and a year or so later returned and started by helping the guy on the swing shift, one night I asked if he had seen the ghost and he nearly came out of his chair. He had, I told him what and who it was and after that, no problem.
Then there is the ghost of the clock, but that's for another time.

(Do you think that amputated peepees could come back and haunt? That'd be OK with me if I could choose WHERE they haunt, how fast and for how long they haunt, and if they could repeat as requested.)

ive had quite a lot of paranormal experiences really, including one that cannot be attributed to sleep paralysis by the skeptical.

Oh hell I have admitted about everything else and yes I have had paranormal experiences. At one time in my life I was troubled by a vertical flying black butterfly looking object. Of course it was not of the physical world but visible to me. I saw it three different times.
The first I was in bed part way between a sleep state and being awake. It flew over and landed on my right arm. Scared the hell out of me. All of a sudden in my left ear was a calm voice telling me I was safe and it disappeared. The next time it was evening and I was walking out to the car. All of a sudden it flew past and swooped in close. I wondered if anyone saw me dodge it and wonder what I thought I saw. I was never sure if anyone else could see it. The next time I was watching tv with my mother in her house. It flew in from a corner of the family room and into the basement. After that time the electricity would not work in the front half of the house on either the first or second floors. Everything was fine in the family room and kitchen and two upstairs back bedrooms. An electrician came and spent about an hour and a half and had no idea why the electricity was not working. All of a sudden it came on again. He never charged my mother for his time because as he said he could not figure what was wrong and he did nothing to correct the problem. He was anxious to leave.
The next time was when I was spending nights with the gentleman with Alzheimer's disease. One morning I was brushing my teeth at 7:30 am when I saw a ghost of a lady walking down the hall. I stuck my head out of the bathroom in time to see her walk through a door. That was her only appearance but often I would hear a lady speaking. The gentleman's wife had also died from Alzheimer's so it could have been her. I hope together they found the light and crossed over.
Years ago, late teens, during a severe depression I was trying to will myself to die. I felt my body becoming extremely heavy and the next thing I knew was that my spirit rose out of my body. I was able to perceive myself in the bed below and the surroundings of my bedroom. This was quite a shock and I got back in my body. I have never forgotten that feeling. Both the feeling of leaving the body and the peace I felt for that brief time not being of the physical world.
Years later at that same gentleman's house something was pulling at me and it felt like something was trying to force my spirit out of my body. There was not a sense of peace but an ugly sounding noise associated with the experience. I would have to fight it and force myself awake to keep it from happening. This went on over a period of a few months for once or twice a week. One time when I awakened I saw a small spirit that looked like a leprechaun. I saw him and he was shocked I saw him and he ran out through the wall. I was never bothered again by those sensations. All paranormal activities stopped at that house afterwards.
These have been very real events in my life. I am sure some will have doubts or possible explanations. I could share more about dreams and ESP but I may have put my credibility at question.

We were talking about ghosts, not out of body experiences, that is for another thread, who wants to start it?
The only ghost I ever knew was that of my mother, but that is another story for another time. Its a good story, full of mystery and adventure has a happy ending.

Sorry but your credibility was already in question before you put fingers to keyboard
A few months ago I was laying in bed (not asleep but not awake) when I saw a young man of high school age in a pair of tighty whities looking out of a window. This young man half turned around and had a devilish grin on his face. As he half turned around his right hand went to his waist band and he started to pull them down. This shocked me so much that I snapped out of it. It was not a dream!

I've had many experiences that might be classes as paranormal, even though I don't believe in that stuff. I can't explain these experiences, and they sometimes cause me great terror even to think about them. :O
Recently, I found it odd and surprising, that my brother has said he had very similar experiences to the ones I've had at a house we both lived in as a kids. That's kind of freaky -- I thought it was just me who saw that shit. D:

Paranormal? Never had any. All experiences I had were later explained pretty normally.
for example:
I was walking on the street at night. I looked up in the sky to see stars. Suddenly I noticed that there were 3 stars moving slowly over the sky in group. I was thinking, yess these must be UFO's. I stopped to see them more clearly. you know what, these 3 stars stopped as well. When i started to walk they started to move again. Some might think that UFO's were communicating with me? No... unfortunately these stars were reflections of streetlight on the wires.
Then sometimes at my old house I heard strange noises. They were weak but clear. It was still difficult to understand where these noises were coming. I didn't bother my mind with ghost stories and let this sound live its own life for few years. Until one night when I was outside i heard the same noise from house. this time I could hear the source. I went closer until the ghost was spotted. it was a bad antenna fastener that allowed antenna mast to move at certain wind directions. so no ghost again.
the most paranormal experience i had was a moment when I fell asleep. Can you remember the moment when you fall asleep? Probably no. You fall asleep so many times during your life, but you can't describe that very moment how it feels... I am not sure if you could feel this every time, as i can remember only one such occassion. It is like a free falling into deep black hole with light spot getting smaller and smaller over me very fast. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all. Was I falling into hell? I don't know.
In order to see any ghosts I started to walk on big cemetaries at nights. At first it required some will power to enter the cemetery. My heart was pounding first and eyes were wide open. But over time I got pretty relaxed. Only thing I saw were burning candles. Never met anybody there. It appears that cemetary is the safest place in the city as even criminals do not expect anybody walking on cemetery. Since then I have been many times on cemetery at midnight. No ghosts so far even on fresh burials.
