Im not one to usually rock the boat or stir the pot, but this need to be said and hopefully someone that can do something about it will actually do something about it!

The Chat server reliability SUCKS!!! many many users are getting dropped for no reason at all. I know that computers and the internet are not 100% reliable that the way it is.

The EA Chat has a main server and a backup server. The main has a poor connection at best, and the backup server is at a location that has not yet been completely configured.

I know its not a hard thing to do make a few people happy, the Chat really helps a lot of people with questions and answers.

I know I echo the thoughts of many users, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get it FIXED.

Sorry for the CAPS but sometimes we need to speak up to be heard.

The backup server IS online. It is configured, and the ports are open. Been up for 2-3 weeks now.

It so, no connection was available at this time: 10:04 Friday CDT

I did make a connection via darkstar1 to a small room, but had little time this AM to hang.

Odd, I am not really a chat room regular, but I do chat there sometimes, and I never had any particular problem there with the chat room features... My biggest problem with the chat thing is that I cannot type very fast using only my left hand.

I'm having difficulties entering the chat room. I'm unable to connect and get the advice: Unable to connect : java.security.AccessControlException : access denied (java.net.SocketPermission otherbackup.hopto.org resolve)

I used to have no problems...what's up?

I am not able to log on now either, but I think I know why. Sebastian LOVES to block people for more than one user name. Even if they are derivatives or obvious miss-spellings of a user name. Or, if the server disconnects you, but doesn't release your name, then you log back on as "unknown". Sebastian is pretty trigger happy with bans.

Your java could be out of date or not installed.

Sebastian like many of us will ban on what is said in the chat room. Any and All talk about boys will get you banned. This site is only for adults. If we find a person that was banned once and comes in with a different name it will be banned as well. We do track who is interning the chat room.
