Some questions about chemical castration

Ok...well this is my new post. I'm not a eunuch, I haven't had chemical or physical castration, but I am interested in it. I have a lot of questions about the topic and I don't want to overwhelm anyone so I'll try to keep them to one or two questions in this post. I understand that the chemical castration either stops the production of testosterone or blocks its absorption by the body in one form or another.
I'm wondering if people could share their experiences with different chemical castration drugs, if possible please give the name of the drug, dosage, and any positive/negative side effects of what you took. Also if there were any corrections you made to the dosage or what have you to counteract the negative side effects.
I know that each person should be effected differently, but I'm just looking for a general overview of people's experiences just to see what they went through. To be honest, something permanent like physical castration is a little ways off for me, anything permanent takes me time to get used to. It took me about 2 years between deciding to get a tattoo and actually getting it, because I wanted to be sure that it was something I wouldn't mind having on me the rest of my life.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
