It seems that the general consensus here on Depro provera dosage is to start with 300 mg to start and 150 mg every three weeks to a month thereafter. Where is this dosage information coming from? Users that achieved results and the minimal amount needed for chemical castration?

I ask as I have looked at various sites that discuss the use of Depro p on sexual offenders to "castrate" them and remove their desires violent tendencies and some of the information indicates that they are injected with 100 to 400 mg a week! Is this the mentality of "better safe than sorry" when it comes to controlling these guys?

Hello! Most pre-op dosing suggests 150mgs, or one vial per every 3 weeks. There is quite a lot of information on the net about this subject. spankey2

Thanks for the reply Spanky. I must be looking in the wrong places as I typically come up with search info on chemical control of sexual offenders.

The reason I asked is that I have been on Spiro for 6 months and had great results but started having issues with the electrolyte balance and switched to Depro provera. After the first three weeks of the intial 300 mg dose of DP I discontinued the Spiro and only using the DP (going on 2 1/2 months now) but find that semi erections and copious precum is now occurring. Hence my wondering if the dosage of DP is off. I am not overweight so the weight dosage is not the issue.
