If they can change the command so that it bans you, why can't they change it so it just says "Command disabled!"

This does not seem normal. There must be more to the story then what is being said. Please contact me in private. Will see what the problem is.

I don't think there is any more to it. Someone told me about the !seen command a while back. A month or two go I wanted to try it but was unsure if I had remembered correctly, so tried !help. The system said "If you do this again you will be banned!" The other night, having forgotten all about this, I tried !help again. Bang!

Anyway, I was allowed in last night so it seems OK.

That part of the bot program is seldom ever used. May have been a year the command was last used. It has been turned off.

What's so evil about "!help" (and is that an exclamation mark or is it a typo for slash?)

The ! before a word in chat has special meaning part of a command

like the / the . (dot)

The chat program reads !help as a command. The program can have that command trigger another command like to ban. I would guess at one time someone kept using the command over and over again. So we did a ban command and not give the normal information. This happened a very long ago. We just forgot to change it back to the normal use.

Note that commands that are in our chat room may and can work different then other chat rooms. The moderators have the option to make any changes they like.
