Various questions about Androcur.

Hi, I did read a lot on Androcur and the forums... and came up with these questions I could not find the answers to.
1. it is not clear to me whether or not I will grow breasts. All I plan on doing is going on, with small doses at first, and then progressing to higher, normal doses for about 2 years.
2. the reason I say 2 years is because that's how long I estimate I'll have to stay on for some permanent shrinkage, but I have read sources that say if I ever get off it, it'll come right back up. Is that true?
3. will the scrotum be really long, or will that shrink up too?

First of all - welcome to the zoo

.
On doses - it is recommended to start with high dose and then gradually switch to maintenance dose. I'm unsure if androcur would work, if started from the low dose. So in best case it would be a waste of time and money.
On breasts - it depends on person. From what I read here - to prevent feminisation you also take tamoxifen.
But I am not an expert... so - please recheck.

Eunuchs tend to grow small breasts. This is almost inevitable. But the size varies.
In normal eunuchs estrogen and testosterone have some balance as they are still produced in tiny quantities. In Androcur eunuchs Testosterone is present in the body but it is rendered useless in target tissues by androcur, making ostrogen effects to dominate.
2 years on androcur will cause permanent shrinkage and damage to penis and testicles. After that long period recovery is almost impossible.
Scrotum tends to shrink as its contents get smaller. But it requires time.

Thank you both for the help! I am very excited to begin using androcur as I think it will make me finally happy. I'm glad to have found a great community for this.
I do have one more question, now that I think of it...
I know it tends to weaken the muscles, and heart, and you get better (or stop feeling the effects) about 3 months in. To counter-act this I was thinking of doing yoga and some light working out every day. Are the heart problems really major, and do you think the androcur will cause permanent, serious damage to the heart?

I've never heard of it damaging the heart. Lower testoserone can screw with your glucose metabolism so it is important to maintain a healthy weight and exercise. You may also want to keep a closer eye on your thyroid function as well as avoid anything else that could stress your liver (like large daily doses of tylenol/acetominefen.

I took Androcur for just over a year, here is how it effected me.
Night sweats, HOT FLASHES, lol, the worst was at work one day when while talking to the rest of my team mostly women I had one of the worst hot flashes ever, as I grabbed a file folder and started fanning myself I said, wow, must be a hot flash, maybe its a change of life thing. Everybody thought this was funny as hell and never gave it another thought.
Today many years later and castrated after that year on trial, I would say I am about a B cup. I have also gained a pound or two, from 150 to 240 but I am on a diet down to 225. I have lost most of my body hair, had a sever case of depression which I finally think I have under control. Many aches and pains from lack of T. less energy and the list goes on.
The hot flashes went on for over 5 years YMMV, depression, lots of health issues, and
Would knowing now what I know would I do it again you say,
In a heart beat.

B cups! Wow, erm... well, I did some research and it appears the breasts do grow and if worse comes to worst I can just stop the treatment. I do however have another question, and you guys are so helpful. (thank you <3)
I was wondering if, with breast growth, the areola also grow, or if that's strictly estrogen/prog-based. Basically will I just have really, erm, girly man breasts or willl they really start to be noticeable?
Also, for the sake of clarification, riverwind... is androcur all you took?

no change in the nipple and androcur was all I took. I did take it through castration plus one month.
There are some side effects of castration, like depression, ostroprosis, night sweats, hot flashes, loss of body hair, your skin may become softer and less oily. There are some good things too, you may notice the flowers again, you will become a bit more sensitive, you can cry at the stupidest things. Things that wont happen, you will not regrow a full head of hair, after 7 years I do have some fuz. Your voice will not become high like it was when you were 9, it stays right were it is. You wont walk with a little wiggle in your butt like a gal, your still male unless of course you already walked that way in the first place.
I have noticed something new after 7 years. I stopped taking all my meds, they were killing me and now all of a sudden I am starting to grow leg hair again> how strange, I wonder<<< more later on this. If I start growing underarm hair again I will let you know.

Thanks River,
My breasts have just started, and I sure don't like it. So my question, how long did that continue. Can I hope that it will stop before I get big results.
Oh, and if you could get the hot flashes back, what would you say???

Further clarification - you were castrated and took androcur, right? If so, how far into androcur were you castrated?
