depo provera arrived

I got my first shipment of 3 syringes of depo provera today. It was ordered last saturday and it arrived very quickly which is reassuring. Now the question is when to start it? I'm having problems deciding because I'm not sure how the medication is going to make me feel. I was reading another post of someone who was already on Androcur and was having indecisiveness regarding whether or not to stay on it.
So this is where I need some info from those chem cast veterans out there. I know it takes 3 weeks to take effect, and I'm aware of some of the side effects of low testosterone. What I would like to know about are the personality changes if any than I can expect. I'm concerned about falling into a state of low motivation. I'm not talking about sexual motivation just the motivation to go out and do things. Does it take away your sex drive and your passion for life, or just your sex drive?
I'm not sure if I'm going to take it this week or wait a little bit. I definitely want to start by September at the latest. I guess I'll need to think this one over a bit more.
I've also given the fatigue problem some thought which led me to joining a gym. They had a special for $10 bucks a month with no contract so I couldn't pass it up. It's possible that if I get in shape I might not notice any extra fatigue because I would be doing better all around. I'm 5 ft 9 and 220 pounds right now which makes me over weight with my size 40 waist. I know that's slowing me down already so if I can get in shape I might keep my current energy level while I'm on depo provera instead of noticing less.
I'm kind of rambling a bit because there's a lot to think about. Well that's it for now, if any of you have any suggestions please feel free.

Well... You asked. And while I know this is not the most popular forum to say this I don't care at all for the effects of low T much less castration level t.
When my Testosterone levels were low (Not castration level) my symptoms were mirrors of mental depression.
Low energy lack of will to do stuff.
Mood issues. Anger being snippy etc.
Anxiety
Lack of ability to make decisions or be in charge.
I stopped being able to read a book. The books seemed to complicated and too much effort to read.
My memory thinking got foggy.
If your doing this because your sex drive is making you crazy or do seriously bad stuff? Maybe its worth all this? If your doing this because you read some EA porn about how hot it is to be castrated? Better thing hard about using a drug that lasts for months....

Hey,
first let me agree with the warnings from MRT
To show you the other side: I wouldn't want to miss it, but as you can find out at a lot of other postings, it has a very different effect on people
As for aggression, I don't need to fight it myself anymore, get it for free. Most important, it kills fair.
No negative effects as MRT mentioned, and I have the feeling I could just walk through a wall this moment
But don't forget his warning about:

I'm sorry to hear that you had so many problems after lowering your T. Now to answer your questions. My sex drive does drive me crazy which does make me uncomfortable. There are times when it's manageable but most of the time I'm walking around dealing with chronic spontaneous erections, an uncomfortable flushness in the face, thickened saliva, and very horny thoughts that require me to masturbate 4 or more times a day. There have been some days when I have been alone and stuck in the house where I masturbated as much as 10 times. I deal with abrasions on my penis at times which normally slow things down because they hurt. And the frustrating part is that I don't get any relief after I cum. Some days after about the 4th or 5th time I feel a temporary calm come over me but it doesn't last very long.
The other side of it is that I have a desire to be castrated. I've had a fascination with the subject since I was a child and this slowly became a desire over the last 5 years. Part of the desire is due to my overactive sex drive and the other part is a combination of several different reasons. I'm guilty of harming my testicles in the past few years. I've played with elastrators a few years ago but I gave this up because the pain was too much to deal with. I remember icing my testicles several times with the band on with the intent of leaving it on but the pain always at some point made me cut it off. When I finally gave this up I remember that my scrotum stayed really cold from poor circulation. My scrotum had a bluish tint to it from where the band was down and blood would always pool at the bottom of my scrotum which had to be massaged out with the use of a heating pad for a couple of months until everything went back to normal. I decided for my best interest that I was better off pursuing a safer way to address my problem.
I've already taken the first two injections today so it won't be very long before things start changing. I'm taking a test drive right now and I like the idea that the medication lasts for a few months. Right now it's exactly what I need for myself. I think I'll either come out of this without a desire for castration because I didn't like it, or I'll be staying on it and seeking surgery or just mild libido reduction. I don't think there's an easier way to finding normalcy for me. Counseling would be an option but I can't afford health insurance and it wouldn't be any good without chem cast.
It's easier to talk about it here because it's anonymous. Even if a doctor was an option I would still rather do what I'm doing now prior to seeing one. I also want to mention that I did have my T level checked about 2 years ago with a mail order saliva test to see what my T level was because I thought it might be too high. Well the saliva testing lab sent me a chart of where my level was but it didn't provide any numbers that I could go by. I do remember that my T level was at the maximum normal range for my age group but it wasn't considered above normal. If anyone knows of a better online lab that does saliva hormone testing please let me know because I want to have myself tested in a few months.
I'm sorry about writing a book for this post, lol. I just want to be recognized as being serious regarding my reasons for being here and I'm hoping that others might be able to relate to some of the things I'm going through.

What made you decide on Depo over Androcur? Was it easy to procure? Why did you decide not to see a doctor? What recommendation did you follow for dosing? Is that why you took two doses at once? Is it an IM injection? Did it hurt? Sorry for all the questions. I am still trying to decide what form of chemical castration to pursue and when, based on the side effects. I am trying to avoid feminization, but I would like some quick and noticeable effects, even though I know results can and do vary. In addition, I am concerned about the strength loss and weight gain effects and would be interested to follow your updates.

When my T level dropped, due to natural causes, I was caught off guard and experienced everything that Mr. T experienced plus I was very weak. After a month on TRT I rebounded. But after a year of increasing, decreasing, and eliminating TRT I did finally reach a stage last month where I was not interested in sex, lost my castration desires, lost ability to get erections, and I was very much enjoying not having any feelings of sexual urges and had no frustrations about being "sexless". And I still have mental clarity, alertness, and physical strength. For me it seems that by "weaning" myself off T slowly, over a period of about a year, helped me get to near castrate level with little to no T-withdrawal effects. This method won't work for anyone who has normal T production. It might work for someone who was physically castrated.
I experimented with further lowering of my T level using soy, flax, non-glycerized licroice and it seemed to work.
To further lower my already low T level I will start Siterone on Aug 1, with very low dose, and increase dose if needed over time.
For the average guy with normal T production starting chemical castration might work better by starting with a very low dose and then increasing it slowly over a period of months. Each person is different so without clinical studies it is impossible to know if low dose followed by slowly increased dose over time could help someone avoid or minimize the ugly testosterone withdrawal symptoms.
If you have extremely high levels of testosterone perhaps the best method is to consult with an endoctrinologist and get tested. There are other prescription drugs that are used to lower testosterone without killing it.
Check out weight lifters web sites for herbal methods to lower testosterone. It seems to work for them.

I decided to go with Depot Provera because it's not as strong as Androcur and it takes longer to achieve the same results. I was concerned about dropping my levels too fast and bringing on testosterone withdraw symptoms. The other reason is that it's much easier for me to take one shot every 3 weeks instead of 2-3 pills a day.
It was definitely easy to buy and relatively inexpensive. I buy 3 pre-filled syringes for $72 dollars which includes shipping. It usually takes 7-10 days to get your order and ordering it is problem free. Taking the shots are also easy to do. The biggest problem is the soreness that kicks in a few hours later and lasts for a few days. My butt is pretty sore today but you have to remember that my injection skills need practice. My left upper butt cheek hurts more than the right because of the needle placement. I can hardly feel the right side unless I do a stretch. 1 shot is better than 2 so my next injection won't be so bad once I find the best injection site to use.
Yes, DP is an intramuscular injection which is best given in the butt. I took two doses at once because it's what overs have recommended. The idea is to take a bigger first dose to effectively lower your testosterone and then follow that up with regular injections. I opted for one shot every 3 weeks instead of every 4 to begin with because it should be more effective at lowering my T level.
The reason I didn't see a doctor is because I currently cannot afford health insurance, and because it isn't easy to find a doctor willing to help in this situation. Obviously at some point I would have to involve a doctor if I decide to go all the way but for right now I'll just have to work with what the bad healthcare system here in the US has dealt me.
Good luck with your decision and remember that lowering your T slowly appears to to be the way to go, plus it's also cheaper and has less risk involved with it.
The needle really doesn't hurt when you stick it in. I was really surprised at this. I've had other injections like this before but for some reason I was expecting more pain. It was just a tiny split second pin prick and then the needle slid right in without any pain at all. I had a little burning about an hour later but it went away in about an hour. Then both injection sites became sore and my left side is a little worse today. The soreness in my right side seems to be going away. There's also a little lump and some minor swelling in the muscle at both injection sites but that is normal for this type of shot.

I am surprised that you have experienced some discomfort for a day or two in the area you gave yourself the injections. I was on DP (plus 100 mg of Spiro) for close to 3 years and never even noticed where I had the shot a minute after it was given. My wife is a nurse and gave me most of the injections. Stay in the upper, outer portion of your butt and it should be better. I would agree that DP is realtively effective and relatively inexpensive plus it is once a month or once in three weeks deal, not pills every day. Perhaps the best unofficial recommendation for it is that it is commonly administered for the chemical castration of sex offenders. In our legal climate, it has to be pretty safe if the goverrment is using it.
