Hi, I want to control my testosterone and I had literally ordered Spiro but I recently found that 1 in 10 men have the adverse effect of enlarging breasts. So I decided not to take it(It has not arrived yet from shipping). What other drugs are there with minimal drastic side effects?

Also, after castration or chemical castration, have you noticed a massive reduction or elimination of oily skin for those who initially had it? I ask this because I terribly suffer from it and also from premature hair loss(young adult).

Any drug that lowers testosterone will upset the balance between testosterone and estrogen allowing estrogen to go unopposed which can cause breast growth. You need to take an anit-estrogen like Tamoxafen (which will also cause your libido to reduce even further) to prevent feminization.

Tamoxafen can also provide some benefits to prevent/slow bone loss because the body kinda recognizes it as estrogen because it locks into the E receptors at the cellular level.

As far as oily skin, anything that reduces T will stop oily skin very quickly. You may find that you even need to supplement with moisturizers after T drops.

To get a dramatic effect, you will have to take LOTS of spiro and would probably be better off just taking generic androcur with generic tamoxafen.

So is there a certain ratio in which I should consume both drugs? (androcur & tamoxafen)

Can I substitute spiro for androcur and still take tamoxafen? The reason being that I already ordered it. =/

Enlarging of the breast will happen to some degree with anyone that is at castration hormone levels of chemical or real castration. Dry skin is another common thing with lower levels of testosterone. Females tend to have more dry skin then males. As a female ages the skin tends to be more dry. You will be more like an older female. Once castrated you will be somewhat more of a older female is some ways.

If you reduce your testosterone levels you will get the side effects. That is a fact of life. You can not pick and choose which ones you want. Sorry

A number of members on this board are using the combination of Androcur and Tamoxifen. So far, I have not come across people taking Sprio with Tamoxifen, but then I never searched for those. My guess is that this combination should not be a problem since Tamoxifen does not seem to interact with most other drugs. I suggest that you do a search on Tamoxifen on this board and you will find a lot of useful experiences shared by these members.

Everybody is different. Having been on Androcur for 4 years already, I believe my testicles functionality has dropped way low. So, my doseage may not apply to you. I have been on just 25 mg Androcur (1/2 a pill) a day, and 10 mg Tamoxifen. And they can keep me basically sexless (no erections and no libido). I sometimes have to adjust the Taxmosifen up to 20 mg if I feel my nipples start to feel funny. But as a general rule, stay on the lowest possible dose to achieve your results over time.

By the way, one thing is sure. By taking Tamoxifen together with an anti-androgen like Sprio or Androcur, you can lower the doseage of the anti-androgen significantly. I myself experienced that. Before starting Tamoxifen, I was on up to 200 mg of Androcur a day and still felt horny, just less frequently but never gone. But once I started Tamoxifen, I could drop Androcur down to 50 mg and felt calm. And over the course of a year or so, dropped my doseage further to the 25 mg level.

bobbie, That is an awesome avatar. I would consider that to be an ideal body. Yes, I agree with you of the side effects but it is a bit hard to grasp this idea of developing breasts. I would perfer to be androgynous, you know, like a child. If castration was done before puberty, would one still be yielded to the side-effects?

There is something to note here which I didn't perceive to be relevant before. I 'was' taking Saw Palmetto extract(1280mg daily) for a week and I literally had no to very low urges(and reduced penis length) until I decided to test myself on the 7th day by opening up a porn site. But even then, it took a couple of minutes for my penis to be erect. So does this mean I am more susceptible to breast enlargement? Should I be only taking 50mg or even 25mg of Spironolactone?

hkeunuch, I will certainly look into Tamoxifen but I have a difficulty gaining Androcur since it is no longer available at InHousePhramacy. I curious about what you said of the dosage, "

Saw Palmetto and in particular Licorice that is not DGL will help to lower testosterone a little, and maybe even a lot.

However Licorice should not be taken for extended periods as there can be negative side effects. You can read all about herbs on numerous web sites and even in US Government documents.

some body building sites contain information about testosterone lowering herbs and quantities to take. This may seem an odd place for such information. What some body builders do is intentionally lower their testosterone levels to sub-par levels. They then visit a doctor and get a prescribed testosterone lab test. When the result comes back as low testosterone they get a legal prescription for testosterone. With this they can get one prescription legally from their local pharmacy and multiple orders of testosterone over the internet (legally for each pharmacy but illegally for the body builder). They then double, triple, quadruple dose on testosterone for body building purposes. This doesn't work for serious competitions that require drug testing, but for local competitions. Some body builders are not that serious about competitions, they just have a body building complex and want to be as big as possible. Of course, testosterone supplements shut down their natural testicle testosterone production and over time once they stop using testosterone supplements they become virtual eunuchs; men with tiny hard balls. I don't know if this destroys the testes ability to produce sperm.
