I believe the correct answer is "All of the Above"...

I don't think this would work very well.

This site is generally about loosing one's nads. how does this pertain to rocketry? I dunno, Tie a rope around the victims nuts and the other end to the rocket? would give a whole new meaning to the concept "Blast Off"....

Ah, no. Furthermore, there is a requirement that all fancy launch equipment have matching treads on tires.

Putting your nuts into orbit. Not many men can say their nuts went into orbit.

BTW - Sometimes chit-chat about odd subjects is good for getting to know the other person.

I'd rather enjoy talking about this subject.

I've always enjoyed von Braun's rocket designs and think the would fit very nicely into a steampunk story line.

Yeah, von Braun held a major's rank in the SS and that bit has been brushed out of history. Hey, he gave us the leg up we needed on the Soviets.

Anyway (I hate the use of "anywho"), it is an interesting idea of eunuch's in space. Given the confines of space travel (at least a year round-trip for an expidition to Mars) there would be some advantages of having the astronauts at least chemically castrated to reduce the inevitable problems of sex amongst the crew. Also, since space travel results in the loss of bone mass due to prolonged exposure to zero gravity, that is something else to be considered.

All of the astronauts say there never was sex in space but there are always suspicions. The Space shuttle astronauts are monitored by ground control so if they ever did masturbate, Houston would ask why their heart rates and breathing are doing that. The Russians weren't as intrusive but they say no sex -- suspicions all over ...

It either is or will be the ultimate mile high club.
