EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 40
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of
room at each side. With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms
straight out from your sides and hold
them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then
relax.
Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit
longer.
After a
couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.
Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you
can
lift a
100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more
than a
full minute. (I'm at this level.)
After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

After that, you can celebrate with a cinnamon bun and lots of butter.

Hell... My pedometer shows between 10-12,000 steps a day, and I still can't shed the last 15-20 pounds. {Resigned sigh...}

That sounds like a great exercise program. I am over 40, so maybe I will start on it tomorrow.

Frankly speaking if u can hit 10 to 12.0000 steps aday now that deserves a big applause hmmm
but for the next step how bout cutting down the cans of beers
alcohol is really very high on calories, for ex u can not imagine how much I sweat in my gym cycle classes after work and if I tend to drink wine than I loose the day
so dear keep on stepping cause ur rate is well beyond and take less cans of beers

:D

I'll start lifting the bag today...the potatoes won't be ready for another month!
Right now...and I hope it stays this way...I have trouble keeping weight on!
I lift 4-6 days/week and do construction for a living. And no I don't do cardio at the gym!
