An angry wife drilled a hole in her husband's manhood when he staggered home after boozing away a week's wages.
Horrified Andrei K., told police he'd fallen asleep on the sofa and was woken by an agonising pain in his crutch.
As he came to he saw his wife Larissa, 38, standing there with a power drill at the family home in Moscow, Russia.
"I felt amazing pain and there she was with the drill. I had just enough strength to call the paramedics before I passed out," he told Russian news website Life.ru.
Surgeons say they were able to stitch Andrei's manhood back together after a delicate three hour operation.
"The drill cut through the skin and sank two centimetres into the flesh. We've been able to save his penis," said surgeon Dmitry Semenov.
Now Andrei has consulted lawyers over a divorce from Larissa, who told police she was overcome by rage after he drank away the family's housekeeping money.
